Abstract

microbeMASST, a taxonomically informed mass spectrometry (MS) search tool, tackles limited microbial metabolite annotation in untargeted metabolomics experiments. Leveraging a curated database of >60,000 microbial monocultures, users can search known and unknown MS/MS spectra and link them to their respective microbial producers via MS/MS fragmentation patterns. Identification of microbe-derived metabolites and relative producers without a priori knowledge will vastly enhance the understanding of microorganisms' role in ecology and human health.

2. Exploration of faint X-ray and radio sources in the massive globular cluster M14: A UV-bright counterpart to Nova Ophiuchus 1938

Abstract

Using a 12 ks archival Chandra X-ray Observatory ACIS-S observation on the massive globular cluster (GC) M14, we detect a total of 7 faint X-ray sources within its half-light radius at a 0.5-7 keV depth of $2.5\times 10^{31}\,\mathrm{erg~s^{-1}}$. We cross-match the X-ray source positions with a catalogue of the Very Large Array radio point sources and a Hubble Space Telescope (HST) UV/optical/near-IR photometry catalogue, revealing radio counterparts to 2 and HST counterparts to 6 of the X-ray sources. In addition, we also identify a radio source with the recently discovered millisecond pulsar PSR 1737-0314A. The brightest X-ray source, CX1, appears to be consistent with the nominal position of the classic nova Ophiuchi 1938 (Oph 1938), and both Oph 1938 and CX1 are consistent with a UV-bright variable HST counterpart, which we argue to be the source of the nova eruption in 1938. This makes Oph 1938 the second classic nova recovered in a Galactic GC since Nova T Scorpii in M80. CX2 is consistent with the steep-spectrum radio source VLA8, which unambiguously matches a faint blue source; the steepness of VLA8 is suggestive of a pulsar nature, possibly a transitional millisecond pulsar with a late K dwarf companion, though an active galactic nucleus (AGN) cannot be ruled out. The other counterparts to the X-ray sources are all suggestive of chromospherically active binaries or background AGNs, so their nature requires further membership information., Comment: 17 pages, 14 figures, accepted for publication in MNRAS

16. Analysis and Improvement of Nozzle Clogging of Ti-bearing Welding Wire Steel

Abstract

The element content， phase composition and interface reaction of nozzle clogging for titanium-bearing welding wire steel SJ-60 during continuous casting were analyzed by means of XRF， XRD and SEM. It is found that the interface of the nozzle is rough and porous due to decarburization reaction， which causes nozzle to be easily invaded by high melting point phases. In addition， the calcium treatment and erosion of refractory during the refining process will produce a large amount of CaTiO3 and MgAl2O4 in the molten steel， and the deposition of both at the interface of the nozzle is the main cause of nozzle clogging. The practice has shown that replacing ordinary ferrosilicon with low titanium and low aluminum ferrosilicon can reduce the aluminum content in steel from 0.008 0%~0.009 5% to 0.005 0%~0.006 5%， which is beneficial for reducing the content of Al2O3 inclusions in steel. Cancelling the refining calcium treatment can reduce the calcium content in steel from more than 0.001 4% to less than 0.000 5%， which is beneficial for reducing the content of CaTiO3 inclusions in steel. Reducing the amount of fluorite from 0.8~1.0 kg/t to 0.3~0.5 kg/t can reduce the erosion of refractory， and the magnesium oxide content in slag is decreased from more than 10% to less than 5%， which is beneficial for reducing the content of MgAl2O4 inclusions in steel. Through the above measures， the problem of nozzle clogging caused by CaTiO3 and MgAl2O4 has been effectively solved，and the number of continuous casting heats is increased from 4-5 heats to more than 12 heats.

Abstract

In the process of China’s modernization, the organic articulation of the digital economy provides key support. This paper explores the articulation network paradigm of both and proposes a method for building cognitive mapping on a complex network. For the digital modernization industry, the vector representation encoding is completed by using the multi-granularity representation of this paper, and an N-gram encoder realizes the industry entity recognition. A basic idea of relationship template annotation is developed for recognizing entities, and the relationship extraction framework includes three parts: representation learning of templates, quality assessment of templates, and relationship classification model based on template quality. The regression results of the three major economic regions, namely, the eastern region, the central region and the western region, show that the level of digital economy development in the region has a more significant positive effect on the structure of manufacturing output value. The largest regression coefficient is 3.3044 for the eastern region, while the central, western and northeastern regions are 1.85567, 2.45457, and -0.13798, respectively. Through the study of cognitive mapping, the study provides an effective paradigm for Chinese-style modernization.
