This open access book discusses three areas in which Germany has long-standing experience and solutions that are valuable for other countries—care education, care insurance and standards for age-friendly city neighborhoods. It introduces the development background, application and shortcomings in the German and Chinese context, providing examples for from around the globe and showcasing the role of international cooperation projects in promoting knowledge exchange and advising on implementation in the country-specific context. Fast-paced demographic changes present a pressing challenge around the world. In Europe, the demographic problem, along with discussions on solutions, has been prevalent for many decades. And recently, it has also reached formerly developing countries in Asia, such as China. International cooperation, including international development cooperation, promotes the exchange of ways to tackle the social and economic challenges in order to find globally applicable solutions, thereby contributing to sustainable development. About the International Institute of Space LawThe International Institute of Space Law (IISL), founded in 1960, is a global non-governmental organization promoting space law development. Its members, from over 40 countries, are elected for their contributions to space law or related fields. Since 1992, the IISL has hosted the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, where student teams tackle hypothetical space law cases. The IISL is an official observer at UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) sessions and organizes space law conferences.

Is entrepreneurship a pathway out of poverty? Does creating a business represent a means for improving one's life circumstances? Surprisingly little is known about ventures started by those in circumstances of poverty. This pioneering handbook integrates diverse perspectives from around the world regarding the poverty and entrepreneurship interface.
