集中熱容量式(スラグ)カロリメータにより、750kWアーク加熱風洞気流の熱流束を計測した。銅製のスラグ表面には、種々の触媒特性のコーティングを実施し、その熱流束値への効果を調べた。熱流束値は、Cu、Niなどの金属表面で大きく、SiOなどのガラス質非触媒性表面では極めて小さいことが確認され、その序列は文献値と一致した。熱流束計測値は、ガードン式カロリメータの結果とオーダーで一致し、その平均的値のガードン計測値からの偏差は倍数1.8程度に収まった。この差違は、計測面積の相違、表面状態の不明確さ、流れ場の不均一などに由来すると推定される。, This paper shows the application of a slug type calorimeter to the heat flux measurements of an arc-heated flow, and evaluates the effect of slug surface coatings with differing catalytic efficiency on measured heat flux. Metallic coatings are more catalytic and result in higher heat flux values than coating containing silica. These results are in accordance with the known order of catalytic effectiveness. Measured heat flux values agree in magnitude and lie within a factor of 1.8 of the values obtained by Gardon type calorimeters. In this report, several problems when applying Gardon calorimete to arc heated high enthalpy flow is examined, in order to evaluate reasonability of indicated values by Gardon type calorimeter employing usual Gardon gauge used in 750-kW arc heated high enthalpy wind tunnel as a sensor. 宇宙往還機などの耐熱材料評価試験において表面温度の評定や内部への入熱量の推定を精度よく行うためには、高温での放射率を正確に知ることが極めて重要である。この放射率を試料移動法により試験温度範囲1,073Kから2,773Kまで計測する高温放射率計測装置が1993年に導入された。本装置により求められた放射率の値は、供試体の材質によっては装置の特性により、必ずしも満足した結果が得られないため補正が必要となった。そこで計測結果の精度向上を図るため、供試体に熱電対を埋め込みその計測値から放射率を算出する補正方法を考案した。その結果、比較的放射率の高い材料においてはほぼ妥当な値が求められ、放射率計測試験結果の精度向上の見通しが得られた。本報告は、装置の計測原理、装置構造の詳細な説明、データ補正方法および解析結果などについて述べる。, Emissivity is one of the most important parameters for evaluation the high-temperature behavior of refractory materials used in aerospace applications. An emissivity measuring apparatus (emissiometer) has been introduced for the development and testing of Thermal Protection System (TPS) materials. It can determine the emissivity under very high-temperature conditions up to 2,773 K. Built-in data reduction procedures were examined and a correction method was developed in order to obtain valid results. Analysis based on this method showed reasonable results on a graphite specimen. HOPE開発に先立って予定している3実験のうち、軌道再突入実験を、平成6年2月4日H-IIロケット試験機1号機の打上げ機会を利用して行った。本論文では、軌道再突入実験の目的の1つである再突入飛行環境下での空気力及び空力加熱基礎データの取得について、実験結果を報告する。空力加熱については、飛行実験前において風洞試験を行い、その風洞試験結果と、我々が採用した空力加熱推算法を用いて風洞試験データを推算し、その比較を行った。また、ここで検証された推算法を用いて、最良推定実飛行経路に対して空力加熱率の推算を行い、それを基に熱解析モデルを用いて温度計測点の温度を算出し、飛行実験における温度データと比較して推算法の評価を行った。また、空気力については圧力センサによるデータを用い、いろいろな計算方法によって圧力計測点の圧力を計算して比較を行った。, We are going to perform 3 experiments preceding to the development of HOPE. 日本の次世代打ち上げ用ロケットH-2の頭部フェアリングに用いる熱防御システム(TPS)に適した材料をアーク加熱風洞により試験した。候補材料の主なものはエポキシ樹脂とシリコンゴムである。H-2ロケット上昇時の頭部空力加熱の最大値に合せて試験時加熱率は60〜100kW/平方メートルとした。試験結果によれば、TPS主材としては縮合型シリコンゴムが最適で、また、シリカコーティングは欠かすことのできないものである。また、フェアリング頭部の表面温度に関する試験と推算の結果から、熱防御のためのシリカコーティングの厚さは2mmで十分であると思われる。, Materials suitable for the Thermal Protection System (TPS) of the rocket fairing for the Japanese next generation launch vehicle named H-2 were tested using an arc-heated wind tunnel. The main constituents of the candidate materials were epoxy resin and silicon rubber. The heating rate was from 60 to 100 kW/(sq m) in accordance with the maximum heating rate of the nose region of an ascending H-2 rocket. Test results showed that polycondensed silicon rubber was the best candidate as the main component of the TPS, and also that a SiC coating was indispensable. アーク加熱風洞は、宇宙往還機の機体の再突入時の空力加熱から保護する防熱系(Thermal Protection System: TPS)材料の開発、評価に必須の地上試験設備である。日本においても、国産宇宙往還機の開発を目標としたNAL(航空宇宙技術研究所)/NASDAの共同研究のもとで450kWのアーク加熱風洞を1981-1982年に建設、運用して各種の耐熱材料の加熱試験を実施してきた。この風洞の気流特性の改良、高加熱率での試験能力の安定化などの試験能力向上を目的として、1993年にアーク加熱器を大出力化のために交換、ディフューザと排気系の性能向上などを中心とした大改造を実施した。その結果、最大入力750kWでの運用が可能となり、外径50mmの平頭模型で最大加熱率2.2MW/平方メートルで安定した澱点加熱試験が可能となった。また、チャネルノズルの装備により100mm x 100mmの平板供試体の試験も実施できるようになった。本論文では、この750kWアーク加熱風洞の全体構造、各構成要素の性質について詳述する。また、加熱器の放電特性と気流の圧力、加熱率などの運用動作特性を述べる。, Arc-heated wind tunnels are essential ground test facilities for the development and evaluation of Thermal Protection System (TPS) materials which protect the body of space vehicles from severe reentry heating environments. Under an NAL (National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan)/NASDA joint space program, a 450 kW archeated wind tunnel was built and operated to test the TPS materials for a planned Japanese space vehicle, HOPE. In 1993, to improve the operational characteristics of the tunnel, such as aerodynamic flow characteristics and heating rates, a complete reconstruction of the tunnel was done. This included the introduction of a multisegment arc heater, improvements in the evacuating system capacity and so on. As a result, the operating range extended up to 750 kW and a heating rate of 2.2 MW/sq m was obtained for a 50 mm diameter flat faced cylinder model. Due to the inclusion of a channel nozzle, the testing ability of a flat panel model of 100 mm x 100 mm size was added. TPS material tests for HOPE-X design data have been made with this channel nozzle, but the flow characteristics of the high enthalpy flow generated in the nozzle have not been well investigated. Therefore, flow diagnostic experiments have been planned. Experimental items included in the plan are emission spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, heat flux measurements, and thermometry and direct surface observations of the test materials. A new calibration module was designed to install the instrumentation necessary for the measurement of these items in the channel nozzle test section. Support-interference effects on hypersonic base pressure are investigated for various geometrical sting-support configurations in the NAL Hypersonic Wind Tunnel. Base pressure and pressure distribution on the sting surface in the flow having a free-stream Mach number of 7.1 and a free-stream Reynolds number based on the unit length from 0.2×10(exp 5) to 2.0×10(exp 5)/cm were measured. The oil flow observation on the sting surface was made at the same time. The angle of attack of the model is 0deg. The models are four spherically blunted cones with a semi-vertex angle of 10deg, a nose bluntness radii of 0.3, 3, 8 and 15 mm and a base diameter of 100mm. The support system consists of a strut, sting-pod and a sting. Three different stings having different lengths of 530, 252.5, and 127.5mm are used to examine the sting-flare effect on the base pressure. Avoiding the strong base pressure rise caused by the effect of strut, the sting-flare corner effect is investigtaed. The experimental results show that the base pressure depends upon the Reynolds number and is affected by the interaction of the base recirculating flow and the separated flow around the sting-flare corner. This effect of the sting-flare corner becomes smaller as the length of the sting increases and the standard length of a sting which has a sufficiently minimal effect on the base pressure is obtained. Above a Reynolds number of about 1.0×10(exp 5)/cm, the base recirculating flow and the separated flow over the flare are independent of each other and the base pressure changes discontinuously at a Reynolds number of about 1.0×10(exp 5)/cm in many cases. It seems to be caused by the transition of the boundary layer on the model surface. Feasibility studies of surface heat transfer were performed using an arc-heated wind tunnel. Three types of models were fabricated : (1)a verificatioin model (hemisphere cylinder with a diameter of 50 mm), (2)a 1/100 scale nose model of the HOPE (H-II Orbiting Plane), and (3)a 1/100 scale wing-body model of the HOPE. They are made with a carbon fiber skin as thin as 1.5 mm, and a ceramic internal structure. Time histories of surface temperatures were measured by using an infrared thermograph system. Surface heat transfer rates were estimated from the measured surface temperatures and their time derivatives. The heat transfer distribution on the verification model showed reasonable agreement with existing theory. For both the nose model and the wing-body model, the surface heat transfer rates decreased monotonically along the lower centerlines, and increased with the angle of attack. For these models, thermographs of the surface heat transfer distribution are also shown. A hypersonic wind tunnel having a 50cm diameter test section has been in operation in the National Aerospace Laboratory. In order to determine the aerodynamic characteristics of M9 nozzle, the static pressure distribution along the nozzle wall, total pressure and total tempe- rature profiles across the test section at various streamwise stations were measured. Making correction due to the real gas effect on the Mach number, the Reynolds number dependency of Mach number were determined. Condensation studies were also made and a certain degree of supersaturation was noticed.
