The author offers a response to a critique to his article "An Artefact of Colonial Desire: Kimberley Points and the Technologies of Enchantment," published in a 2006 issue of "Current Anthropology." He notes that his article discusses the function of Kimberley points within Kimberley Aboriginal societies in Australia and how they are received by non-Indigenous collectors, ethnographers and archaeologists during the late 19th and 20th centuries. He stresses that in his article, he did not argue that Kimberley points serve as a late 19th century phenomena.
