Highlights: [•] Lozenge shape PS-b-PLLA single crystals with uniform size are prepared. [•] Isotropic–nematic transition occurs at low volume fraction for crystal suspensions. [•] The orientation of crystals in nematic phase varies with crystal size. [•] Ethanol can block the lateral attraction.
