In recent years, with the performance improvement of mobile devices and the increasing popularity of the mobile Head Mounted Display (HMD), more scholars are actively involved in the research of the operation of Mobile VR HMDs. However, most control methods require additional accessory, and the interactive functions are often limited and inefficient. This paper proposes an intuitive virtual navigation system suitable for general mobile HMDs. The system, which requires no additional accessory, completes the analysis and determinations of various navigation commands, as based on the built-in six-axis sensor in mobile smartphones, thus, allowing users to interact intuitively and effectively in the 3D virtual scenes, and improving the control effectiveness and navigation effects of the Mobile VR HMD.
