- Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the perspectives of 4th grade students' about the refugees. Qualitative research method and content analysis have been used to explain the meaningful relations for the problem of research. Research's working group is composed of 34 primary school students studying at a public school in the central district of Ankara in 2016-2017's school year. Random sampling method which is the one of the probability sampling methods has been used while the research method chosen. The research is composed of 3 stages. A form prepared by the researchers to measure the foreknowledge of the students about the refugees has been distributed to the students for the first stage. In the second stage, Social Sciences course has been done as one course duration with the news gathered by researchers about the refugees from the objective journals. Then, in the third stage; a form has been distributed at the end of the lesson to determine the perspectives of the students about the refugees and let them chance to evaluate the things that they have read in the news. According to the results acquired from the research; it has been determined that there was a difference between the perspectives of the students before and after from the course.
