Abstract

The article presents the discussion on contraction and relaxation of muscles relying on the sliding between two types of filaments. Topics include component in skeletal muscle, nebulin binding to the thin filaments and stabilizes them; and cardiac muscle using focused ion beam milling using cryo–electron tomography (cryo-ET).
