Abstract

A case of aspergillosis of the maxillary sinus after zygomatic implant placement is reported. The patient showed symptoms of sinusitis twelve months after placement of the implant. It is concluded that postoperative maxillary sinus infections can occur even though zygomatic implant placement is a safe surgical procedure.
