Our aim of this study was to construct confidence intervals for the common inverse mean of normal distribution based on generalized confidence interval approach and compare with the confidence intervals based on large sample approach. The coverage probability and average length of the confidence intervals are evaluated by a Monte Carlo simulation. The results showed that the generalized confidence interval approach provides much better confidence interval estimates than the large sample approach.
