The use of appropriate technology in the community is one of the strategies of the Indonesian Government to increase productivity and value-added products, especially agricultural commodities. Although efforts to develop appropriate technology have become a concern of the Government, previous studies have shown that the level of acceptance and utilization of various appropriate technology needs to be increased. This research aimed to find out user perception of appropriate technology machine design. One hundred fifty-two people were involved. They were instructed to fill out questionnaires using a five-Likert scale. The results showed that users were satisfied with the appropriate technology machine, as indicated by the customer satisfaction index value of 74,97 %. The user's perception of the lowest appropriate technology performance is on attribute accessibility. The user's perception of the highest appropriate technology performance is functionality. It means that the use of appropriate technology machines gives the expected results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
