The high-spin structure in 61Cu nucleus is studied in terms of effective two body interaction. In order to take into account the deformed BCS basis, the basis states are expanded in terms of the core eigenfunctions. Yrast band with some other bands havew been obtained and back-bending in moment of inertia has also been calculated and compared with the available experimental data for 61Cu nucleus. On comparing the available experimental as well as other theoretical data, it is found that the treatment with PSM provides a satisfactory explanation of the available data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We measured lifetimes and hyperfine-interaction parameters for the 21+ states in 104-108Pd, 96,98,104Ru, and 92,94Zr, using a plunger device and employing the RDDS and TDRIV techniques. High accuracy lifetimes are obtained, and the measurement of relative g factors via the TDRIV technique is established from comparison to literature data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents a single particle model to calculate the excitation energies of the excited state of 101Ru. To calculate the nuclear deformation, the macroscopic-microscopic method was used. Cassini ovaloid shape parameterization was used to minimize the total energy to obtain deformation equilibrium with respect to the deformation parameters. Woods-Saxon potential was used to calculate the single particle states.

The linewidth of the Ru nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectrum was measured in the superconducting state of Sr2RuO4 in order to search for the spontaneous field at the Ru site. We considered that the large hyperfine field would be expected at the Ru site in the superconducting state if the spontaneous field revealed by the μSR measurement originated from the nonzero spin moment. The linewidth of the spectrum is unchanged within an experimental error, which gives that the maximum value of the spontaneous field at the Ru nucleus site is less than 5 G if any. The sextic oscillator is discussed as a two-parameter potential for which the Bohr Hamiltonian can be solved analytically in a number of situations. In the simplest case it can be considered as a γ-independent potential, which can have a minimum at β = 0 and/or at 15 > 0. Preliminary results are presented from a study in which the potential parameters were determined by fitting the low-lying energy spectrum of even Ru isotopes, and the evolution of the corresponding potential shape along the Ru chain was analyzed.
