The article presents an approach to the simulation model development of the workshop operation based on mathematical modeling of key performance indicators of the production system of an engine plant in the implementation of an innovative development program. The values of three indicators are described: productivity, a generalized indicator of equipment quality, equipment loading in the implementation of additive manufacturing. A simulation model of the production site of a complex typical additive production of an assembly unit has been built for the operational determination of data and the choice of technical and organizational strategies. A rolling stock industry in Indonesia has been facing the problem of delays in delivering trainsets. One of the delays came from the bogie assembling workstation, which was caused by unprepared work information and material availability on the production shop floor. The proposed solution was to develop the Smart Factory that utilizes Internet of Things (IoT), sensors and connectivity between departments within industry. The model consists of hardware such as single board computer (SBC), RFID and QR-Code reader to read the information in shop floor. The data is sent and stored to the database to be processed into decisions for other organizational units. Data is transferred using the internet network and IoT devices. The model has specific User Interface that built in single board computer of Smart Factory. The prototype of Smart Factory Model has been built in the laboratory scale. The simulation of the prototype showed that the model could present the data precisely. The product structure model was used to create the material model which required for production. Power Plant site selection is a structured process developed to identify and acquire suitable lands at an intended area or zone for future power plant development. The process includes, among others, the establishment of mandatory and rejection criteria as well as various site selection assessment parameters with the intention to develop the various attributes that significantly influence the suitability of a site for future power plant development. A workshop was therefore held to establish the criteria as well as parameters for the power plant site selection study. These criteria and parameters later become the principal guideline to identify potential sites for power plant development. This paper will however, only focus on the potential land-use zoning assessment parameter established during the workshop to evaluate and acquire suitable lands for future power plant development. Increasing the competence of graduates of course requires adequate facilities and infrastructure, especially practical tools in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to measure the feasibility of practicum facilities and the level of competence of class XI students of Mechanical Engineering at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul. The results can be used as evaluation material by schools or foundations. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach which is then described qualitatively. The subject were teachers of lathe subject, head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The research objects included: the feasibility of buildings, furnishings, equipment, instructional media, and other devices as well as the level of competence of students' lathes. Data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation technique. The instruments used were observation instrument sheets and interview instruments. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis technique. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the feasibility of the lathe machining workshop facility at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul reached 72.5% so that it was included in the feasible category to support the formation of students' lathe competencies. The mean score of participants in the lathe subject was above the Minimum Graduation Criteria (MGC). This means that the competency standard for turning students of class XI Mechanical Engineering at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul has been achieved. Similar research is needed for other competencies that must be fulfilled by vocational students in the field of Mechanical Engineering so that they can be used as evaluation materials to improve the competence of graduates who are ready to face the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. This paper describes the development of 21st-century skills and teacher competencies in office through TPACK (Technology, Pedagogical, Knowledge Content) training workshops. The method used is qualitative descriptive in the form of training workshops. The subject of the training workshop is high school teachers. The results of the training workshop increase teacher competency in producing technology-based learning media, implementing learning using technology- based media, solving class-based problems (classroom action research), and publishing the results of classroom action research in the form of articles that are worth publishing in scientific journals. Vocational school is an educational institution provide practice study times more than theory. Manual garment pattern workshop is one of the major workshops where students learn drawing skills in garment patterns with manual technic in Textile and Garment School, Indonesia. The observation shows that the drawing table is the main facility in the workshop because of almost 6 hours a day in 2-3 weeks, students do activities in there for 3 semesters. The aim of this study is to conduct an ergonomic evaluation of the table facilities for making the manual garment patterns in the workshop. This is necessary because students often sit hunched up and reach beyond the reach of their hands. Bad learning positions for a long time and repeatedly can cause injury to students. The methods used in this study are the Nordic Body Map questionnaire to assess the respondent's pain, anthropometric to check the facilities dimensional, and garment size standards based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) to check the suitability of a wide area of the facilities. To the best of our knowledge, in Indonesia, there are no published studies specific about evaluated the manual pattern garment workshop, so it the reasons for presenting in this research. The work finds out the instrument name from a midi file that is being played. It also aims at getting the information such as velocity change, key pressure, and note on, note off events. Four pillars of learning identified in the UNESCO report in 1996 include four “L”s: Learning to know, Learning to do, Learning to live together, and Learning to be. Since then educators have been discussing how four pillars of learning can affect 21st century’s curriculum. Evidently, space-related education is based on traditional type curriculum. Therefore, integration of new approaches in aerospace engineering and science curriculum is often challenging. This paper argues that transdisciplinary and project-based approach can be used in building innovative aerospace engineering and other space-related disciplines core curricula. The paper proposes using SDTP/MSIP projects as foundation for creating multi-disciplinary curricula in different universities and countries. The proposed methodology includes pilot team projects performed during two-week summer workshop, task diversification between participating universities, comprehensive individual studies (analysis), and joint findings reports (synthesis). Such approach is proposed to be tested during SDTP-2017 and in 2017-2018 academic year in Russia (MGTU) and USA (University of Houston). The paper concludes with an analysis of potential opportunities and complications for the development and integration of presented academic strategy to increase adaptability of diverse hands-on experiences into already established educational programs in Russia and the US. The paper reviews the typified designs of steel roof trusses of SP-38(S&T); Handbook for typified designs for structures with steel roof trusses having comparison of its design with the values obtained by calculations as per provisions of IS Code IS 875-1987. The paper is related to the analysis of wind load on structural members of industrial shed structures. The analysis of truss is done for different factors of terrain categories, class of structure, topography, height & structure size, permeability condition and calculated wind loads as per provisions of current Indian Standard Code. The paper presents comparative results of the analysis to get the optimum design of steel roof truss or industrial shed structure incorporating various factors, which helps to get economical sections or members of the steel roof structure to enhance the effectiveness of the structural design and its economy through saving of material by optimization. The paper explores the scope of improvisation in typified designs given in the handbook and suggests to incorporate these factors as per current Indian Standard Code to provide typified designs of common forms of industrial structures used in light engineering industries, warehouses, workshops, storage sheds and to obtain economical designs under these conditions. The article is devoted to the analysis of structure of the network of transactions in the educational payment system, which is used for project workshop of students of the Department of Business Informatics and Mathematical Modeling. The work was done according to the methodology of SNA (Social Network Analysis). The calculations show that the parameters of transaction networks and the parameters of random Bernoulli graphs differ by more than 20%. This can be explained by flexibility and complexity of communications in the social-economic system. Based on the SIEMENS PLC control system, a multi agent system model of e workshop is established. The real-time data transmission problem and delay model are analyzed. On this basis, the traditional Greedy algorithm is improved and applied to multi Agent systems. In order to solve the defects of the low level of intelligence, poor scalability and low communication rate of the point-to-point protocol converter in the traditional E-workshop. Based on the existing CAN/RS485/Ethernet protocol, a workshop communication system based on STM32F4 control chip is designed. The communication interface of CAN/RS485/Ethernet and the software implementation of protocol conversion are given. The simulation and experimental results show that the data transmission rate of the communication system is significantly better than the traditional pointto-point protocol converter, and the data transmission is accurate and the bit error rate is low. But what are the conditions that would create this environment, and how can we achieve this? This paper highlights some of the best practices, discussed in a single-session workshop, to improve the workplace environment for female (and male) physicists. While there are many actions that can be taken at the personal, local, and even national level, it is necessary to understand when the issues have broader societal implications.
