Abstract

In this paper, a technique is proposed for constructing the multi-wave solutions which are coupled with different velocities and frequencies for nonlinear evolution equations. The (2+1)-dimensional KdV equation is used as an example to illustrate the effectiveness of the suggested method and some new wave solutions including generalized solitary wave solutions and periodic wave solutions are obtained. And the inner interaction of a multi-wave solution is shown. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
