Abstract

The author reflects on precision medicine, as well as the developments in the treatment of Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome as of April 2018. Also cited are the symptoms of progeria in children like skeletal dysplasia, joint contractures, and atherosclerosis, as well as the clinical trial on the effectiveness of farnesyltransferase inhibitor lonafarnib as a treatment of progeria syndrome.
