Abstract: We report a measurement of the D^{0} and D^{+} lifetimes using D^{0}→K^{-}π^{+} and D^{+}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{+} decays reconstructed in e^{+}e^{-}→cc[over ¯] data recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The data, collected at center-of-mass energies at or near the ϒ(4S) resonance, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 72 fb^{-1}. The results, τ(D^{0})=410.5±1.1(stat)±0.8(syst) fs and τ(D^{+})=1030.4±4.7(stat)±3.1(syst) fs, are the most precise to date and are consistent with previous determinations.

Abstract: A search for the flavor-changing neutral-current decay B^{+}→K^{+}νν[over ¯] is performed at the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 63 fb^{-1} collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance and a sample of 9 fb^{-1} collected at an energy 60 MeV below the resonance. Because the measurable decay signature involves only a single charged kaon, a novel measurement approach is used that exploits not only the properties of the B^{+}→K^{+}νν[over ¯] decay, but also the inclusive properties of the other B meson in the ϒ(4S)→BB[over ¯] event, to suppress the background from other B meson decays and light-quark pair production. This inclusive tagging approach offers a higher signal efficiency compared to previous searches. No significant signal is observed. An upper limit on the branching fraction of B^{+}→K^{+}νν[over ¯] of 4.1×10^{-5} is set at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Using a data sample of 980 fb$^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e$^{+}$e$^{-}$ collider, we present evidence for the Ω(2012)$^{-}$ in the resonant substructure of Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ ($\overline{K}$ Ξ)$^{-}$ (($\overline{K}$ Ξ)$^{-}$ = K$^{-}$Ξ$^{0}$ + K$^{0}$Ξ$^{-}$ ecays. The significance of the decays. The significance of the Ω(2012)$^{-}$ signal is 4.2σ after considering the systematic uncertainties. The ratio of the branching fraction of Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω(2012)$^{-}$ π$^{+}$ ($\overline{K}$ Ξ)$^{-}$ relative to that of Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω$^{-}$ is calculated to be 0.220±0.059(stat.)±0.035(syst.). The individual ratios of the branching fractions of the two isospin modes are also determined and found to be B (Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω(2012)$^{-}$) x B(Ω(2012)$^{-}$ → $\overline{K}$ Ξ$^{0}$) / B(Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ K$^{-}$Ξ$^{0}$ = (9.6±3.2(stat.) ±1.8(syst.))% and B (Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω(2012)$^{-}$) x B(Ω(2012)$^{-}$ → $\overline{K}$$^{0}$ Ξ$^{-}$) / B(Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ $\overline{K}$$^{0}$Ξ$^{-}$) =(5.5±2.8(stat.) ±0.7(syst.))%

Abstract: Using 980 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ of data {collected} with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider, we report the measurements of the masses, and the first measurements of the instrinsic widths, of the $\Sigma_c(2455)^+$ and $\Sigma_c(2520)^+$ charmed baryons. We find $M(\Sigma_c(2455)^+)-M(\Lambda_c^+) = 166.17\pm 0.05^{+0.16}_{-0.07}\ {\rm MeV}/c^2$, $\Gamma(\Sigma_c(2455)^+) = 2.3 \pm 0.3 \pm 0.3\ {\rm MeV/c^2}$, $M(\Sigma_c(2520)^+)-M(\Lambda_c^+) = 230.9 \pm 0.5 ^{+0.5}_{-0.1}\ {\rm MeV}/c^2$, and $\Gamma(\Sigma_c(2520)^+) = 17.2^{+2.3\ +3.1}_{-2.1\ -0.7}\ {\rm MeV}/c^2$, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. These measurements can be used to test models of the underlying quark structure of the $\Sigma_c$ states.

Abstract: We report measurements of the branching fractions of singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays Λc+→pη and Λc+→pπ0 using the full Belle data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 980.6 fb-1. The data were collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- asymmetric energy collider. A clear Λc+ signal is seen in the invariant mass distribution of pη. The fitted number of signal events of the Λc+→pη process is 7734±263; from this, we measure the ratio of branching fractions B(Λc+→pη)/B(Λc+→pK-π+)=[2.258±0.077(stat)±0.122(syst)]×10-2, from which we infer the branching fraction B(Λc+→pη)=[1.42±0.05(stat)±0.11(syst)]×10-3. In addition, no significant signal for Λc+→pπ0 is found, so an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(Λc+→pπ0)

Abstract: We measure the time-dependent $C\!P$ violation parameters in $B^{0} \to K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}$ decays using $772 \times 10^6$ $B {\mkern 1.5mu\overline{\mkern-1.5mu B \mkern-0.1mu}\mkern 0.1mu}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon (4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. The obtained mixing-induced and direct $C\!P$ asymmetries are $-0.71 \pm 0.23~{\rm(stat)} \pm 0.05~{\rm(syst)}$ and $0.12 \pm 0.16~{\rm(stat)} \pm 0.05~{\rm(syst)}$, respectively. These values are consistent with the Standard Model predictions. The significance of $C\!P$ violation differs from zero by 2.5 standard deviations.

Abstract: Using data collected in the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider we search for transitions Υ(4S)→ η$_{b}$(1S)ω, Υ(5S)→η$_{b}$(1S)ω and Υ(5S)→η$_{b}$(2S)ω. No significant signals are observed and we set 90% confidence level upper limits on the corresponding visible cross sections: 0.2 pb, 0.4 pb and 1.9 pb, respectively.

Abstract: We present the results of the first Dalitz plot analysis of the decay D0→K-π+η. The analysis is performed on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 953 fb-1 collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e+e- KEKB collider. The Dalitz plot is well described by a combination of the six resonant decay channels K∗(892)0η, K-a0(980)+, K-a2(1320)+, K∗(1410)0η, K∗(1680)-π+ and K2∗(1980)-π+, together with Kπ and Kη S-wave components. The decays K∗(1680)-→K-η and K2∗(1980)-→K-η are observed for the first time. We measure ratio of the branching fractions, B(D0→K-π+η)B(D0→K-π+)=0.500±0.002(stat)±0.020(syst)±0.003(BPDG). Using the Dalitz fit result, the ratio B(K∗(1680)→Kη)B(K∗(1680)→Kπ) is measured to be 0.11±0.02(stat)-0.04+0.06(syst)±0.04(BPDG); this is much lower than the theoretical expectations (≈1) made under the assumption that K∗(1680) is a pure 13D1 state. The product branching fraction B(D0→[K2∗(1980)-→K-η]π+)=(2.2-1.9+1.7)×10-4 is determined. In addition, the πη′ contribution to the a0(980)± resonance shape is confirmed with 10.1σ statistical significance using the three-channel Flatte model. We also measure B(D0→K∗(892)0η)=(1.41-0.12+0.13)%. This is consistent with, and more precise than, the current world average (1.02±0.30)%, deviates with a significance of more than 3σ from the theoretical predictions of (0.51-0.92)%.

Abstract: We report the result for a search for the leptonic decay of B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$ using the full Belle dataset of 711 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity at the ϒ(4S) resonance. In the Standard Model leptonic B-meson decays are helicity and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa suppressed. To maximize sensitivity an inclusive tagging approach is used to reconstruct the second B meson produced in the collision. The directional information from this second B meson is used to boost the observed μ into the signal B-meson rest frame, in which the μ has a monochromatic momentum spectrum. Though its momentum is smeared by the experimental resolution, this technique improves the analysis sensitivity considerably. Analyzing the μ momentum spectrum in this frame we find B(B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$) = 5.3 ± 2.0 ± 0.9) × 10$^{-7}$ with a one-sided significance of 2.8 standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis. This translates to a frequentist upper limit of B(B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$) < 8.6 × 10$^{-7}$ at 90% confidence level. The experimental spectrum is then used to search for a massive sterile neutrino, B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$N, but no evidence is observed for a sterile neutrino with a mass in a range of 0–1.5 GeV. The determined B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$ branching fraction limit is further used to constrain the mass and coupling space of the type II and type III two-Higgs-doublet models.

Abstract: Using the data sample of 711 fb-1 of ϒ(4S) on-resonance data taken by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy electron-positron collider, we present the first measurements of branching fractions of the decays B-→Λ¯c-Ξc′0, B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2645)0, and B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2790)0. The signal yields for these decays are extracted from the recoil mass spectrum of the system recoiling against Λ¯c- baryons in selected B- candidates. The branching fraction of B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2790)0 is measured to be (1.1±0.4±0.2)×10-3, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The 90% credibility level upper limits on B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc′0) and B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2645)0) are determined to be 6.5×10-4 and 7.9×10-4, respectively.

Abstract: This work reports the first observation of azimuthal asymmetries around the thrust axis in e+e- annihilation of pairs of back-to-back charged pions in one hemisphere, and π0 and η mesons in the opposite hemisphere. These results are complemented by a new analysis of pairs of back-to-back charged pions. The π0 and η asymmetries rise with the relative momentum z of the detected hadrons as well as with the transverse momentum with respect to the thrust axis. These asymmetries are sensitive to the Collins fragmentation function H1⊥ and provide complementary information to previous measurements with charged pions and kaons in the final state. In particular, the η final states will provide additional information on the flavor structure of H1⊥. This is the first measurement of the explicit transverse-momentum dependence of the Collins fragmentation function from Belle data. It uses a dataset of 980.4 fb-1 collected by the Belle experiment at or near a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV.

Abstract: We present a new measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vcb| from B0→D*-l+νl decays, reconstructed with the full Belle data set of 711 fb−1 integrated luminosity. Two form factor parametrizations, originally conceived by the Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and the Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL) groups, are used to extract the product F(1)ηEW|Vcb| and the decay form factors, where F(1) is the normalization factor and ηEW is a small electroweak correction. In the CLN parametrization we find F(1)ηEW|Vcb|=(35.06±0.15±0.56)×10-3, ρ2=1.106±0.031±0.007, R1(1)=1.229±0.028±0.009, R2(1)=0.852±0.021±0.006. For the BGL parametrization we obtain F(1)ηEW|Vcb|=(34.93±0.23±0.59)×10-3, which is consistent with the world average when correcting for F(1)ηEW. The branching fraction of B0→D*-l+νl is measured to be B(B0→D*-l+νl)=(4.90±0.02±0.16)%. We also present a new test of lepton flavor universality violation in semileptonic B decays, B(B0→D*-e+ν)B(B0→D*-μ+ν)=1.01±0.01±0.03. The errors quoted correspond to the statistical and systematic uncertainties, respectively. This is the most precise measurement of F(1)ηEW|Vcb| and form factors to date and the first experimental study of the BGL form factor parametrization in an experimental measurement.

Abstract: Using data samples of e+e- collisions collected at the ϒ(1S), ϒ(2S), and ϒ(3S) resonances with the Belle detector, we search for the three-body decay of the Ω(2012) baryon to KπΞ. This decay is predicted to dominate for models describing the Ω(2012) as a KΞ(1530) molecule. No significant Ω(2012) signals are observed in the studied channels, and 90% credibility level upper limits on the ratios of the branching fractions relative to KΞ decay modes are obtained.

Abstract: We present the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions of $\Xi_c^+$ decays into $\Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ and $p K^- \pi^+$ final states. Our analysis is based on a data set of $(772\pm 11)\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure the absolute branching fraction of $\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}$ with the $\Xi_c^+$ recoiling against $\bar{\Lambda}_c^-$ in $\bar{B}^0$ decays resulting in ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}) = [1.16 \pm 0.42(\rm stat.) \pm 0.15(\rm syst.)] \times 10^{-3}$. We then measure the product branching fractions ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_c^- \Xi_c^+){\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$ and ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_c^- \Xi_c^+){\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to p K^- \pi^+)$. Dividing these product branching fractions by $\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}$ yields: ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+) = [2.86 \pm 1.21(\rm stat.) \pm 0.38(\rm syst.)]\%$ and ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to p K^- \pi^+)=[0.45 \pm 0.21(\rm stat.) \pm 0.07(\rm syst.)]\%$. Our result for ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$ can be combined with $\Xi_c^+$ branching fractions measured relative to $\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ to set the absolute scale for many $\Xi_c^+$ branching fractions.

Abstract: We report the results of a search for the decay $B^0 \to X(3872)(\to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-) \gamma$. The analysis is performed on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $711\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ and containing $772 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs, collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider running at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance energy. We find no evidence for a signal and place an upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(B^0 \to X(3872)\gamma)\times \mathcal{B}(X(3872) \to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-) < 5.1 \times 10^{-7}$ at 90% confidence level.

Abstract: A search for the decays B+→hcK+ and B0→hcKS0 is performed. Evidence for the decay B+→hcK+ is found; its significance is 4.8σ. No evidence is found for B0→hcKS0. The branching fraction for B+→hcK+ is measured to be (3.7-0.9+1.0 -0.8+0.8)×10-5; the upper limit for the B0→hcKS0 branching fraction is 1.4×10-5 at 90% C.L. In addition, a study of the pp¯π+π- invariant mass distribution in the channel B+→(pp¯π+π-)K+ results in the first observation of the decay ηc(2S)→pp¯π+π- with 12.1σ significance. The analysis is based on the 711 fb-1 data sample collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e+e- collider KEKB at the ϒ(4S) resonance.

Abstract: We report a measurement of the branching fraction and final-state asymmetry for the $\bar{B}^{0}\to K^{0}_{S}K^{\mp}\pi^{\pm}$ decays. The analysis is based on a data sample of 711 $\rm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider. We obtain a branching fraction of $(3.60\pm0.33\pm0.15)\times10^{-6}$ and a final-state asymmetry of $(-8.5\pm8.9\pm0.2)\%$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. Hints of peaking structures are seen in the differential branching fractions measured as functions of Dalitz variables.

Abstract: We report a search for the charmless baryonic decay $B^0\to p\bar{p}\pi^0$ with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 711~$\rm fb^{-1}$ containing $(772\pm 10)\times 10^6$ $B^0\bar{B}^0$ pairs. The data was collected by the Belle experiment running on the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure a branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B^0\to p\bar{p}\pi^0)= (5.0\pm1.8\pm0.6 )\times 10^{-7}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The signal has a significance of 3.1 standard deviations and constitutes the first evidence for this decay mode. We also search for the intermediate two-body decays $B^{0}\to\Delta^+\bar{p}$ and $B^0\to\bar{\Delta}^-p$, and set an upper limit on the branching fraction: $\mathcal{B}(B^0\to \Delta^+\bar{p})+\mathcal{B}(B^0\to\bar{\Delta}^-p)

Abstract: We report the study of B+→pΛ¯K+K- and B+→p¯ΛK+K+ decays using a 772×106 BB¯ pair data sample recorded on the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB. The following branching fractions are measured: B(B+→pΛ¯K+K-)=(4.10-0.43+0.45±0.50)×10-6, B(B+→p¯ΛK+K+)=(3.70-0.37+0.39±0.44)×10-6, B(ηc→pΛ¯K-+c.c.)=(2.83-0.34+0.36±0.35)×10-3 and B(B+→pΛ¯ϕ)=( 7.95±2.09±0.77)×10-7, where c.c. denotes the corresponding charge-conjugation process. The intermediate resonance decays are excluded in the four-body decay measurements. We also find evidence for B(ηc→Λ(1520)Λ¯+c.c.)=(3.48±1.48±0.46)×10-3 and B(B+→Λ(1520)Λ¯K+)=( 2.23±0.63±0.25)×10-6. No significant signals are found for J/ψ→Λ(1520)Λ¯+c.c. and B+→Λ¯(1520)ΛK+; we set the 90% confidence level upper limits on their decay branching fractions as

Abstract: We search for CP violation in the singly-Cabibbo-suppressed decay D0→K+K-π+π- using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 988 fb-1 collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. We measure a set of five kinematically dependent CP asymmetries, of which four asymmetries are measured for the first time. The set of asymmetry measurements can be sensitive to CP violation via interference between the different partial-wave contributions to the decay and performed on other pseudoscalar decays. We find no evidence of CP violation.

Abstract: We present the result of the search for the rare B meson decay of B+ -> l(+)nu e gamma with l = e, mu. For the search the full data set recorded by the Belle experiment of 711 fb(-1) integrated luminosity near the Upsilon(4S) resonance is used. Signal candidates are reconstructed for photon energies E-gamma larger than 1 GeV using a novel multivariate tagging algorithm. The novel algorithm fully reconstructs the second B meson produced in the collision using hadronic modes and was specifically trained to recognize the signal signature in combination with hadronic tag-side B meson decays. This approach greatly enhances the performance. Background processes that can mimic this signature, mainly charmless semileptonic decays and continuum processes, are suppressed using multivariate methods. The number of signal candidates is determined by analyzing the missing mass squared distribution as inferred from the signal side particles and the kinematic properties of the tag-side B meson. No significant excess over the background-only hypothesis is observed and upper limits on the partial branching fraction Delta B with E-gamma > 1 GeV individually for electron and muon final states as well as for the average branching fraction of both lepton final states are reported. We find a Bayesian upper limit of Delta B(B+ -> l(+)nu el) 0.24 GeV at 90% CL.

Abstract: Using data samples of 89.5 fb(-1), 711.0 fb(-1), and 121.4 fb(-1) collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider at center-of-mass energies 10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV, respectively, we study the exclusive reactions e(+)e(-) -> gamma chi(cJ) (J = 0, 1, 2) and e(+)e(-) -> gamma chi(c). A significant gamma chi(c1) signal is observed for the first time at root s = 10.58 GeV with a significance of 5.1 sigma including systematic uncertainties. No significant excesses for gamma chi(c0), gamma chi(c2), and gamma chi(c) final states are found, and we set 90% credibility level upper limits on the Born cross sections (sigma(B)) at 10.52 GeV, 10.58 GeV, and 10.867 GeV. Together with cross sections measured by BESIII at lower center-of-mass energies, the energy dependency of sigma(B) (e(+)e(-) -> gamma chi(c1)) thorn is obtained.

Abstract: We report the measurement of $\gamma \gamma \to \eta_{c}(1S), \eta_{c}(2S) \to \eta' \pi^+ \pi^-$ with $\eta'$ decays to $\gamma \rho$ and $\eta \pi^+ pi^-$ using 941 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. The $\eta_{c}(1S)$ mass and width are measured to be $M = [2984.6\pm0.7 (stat.)\pm2.2 (syst.)] MeV/c^{2}$ and $\Gamma = [30.8^{+2.3}_{-2.2}~(stat.) \pm 2.5~(syst.)]$ MeV, respectively. First observation of $\eta_{c}(2S) \to \eta' pi^+ pi^-$ with a significance of 5.5$\sigma$ including systematic error is obtained, and the $\eta_{c}(2S)$ mass is measured to be $M = [3635.1\pm3.7~(stat.)\pm2.9~(syst.)] MeV/c^{2}$. The products of the two-photon decay width and branching fraction (B) of decays to $\eta' pi^+ pi^-$ are determined to be $\Gamma_{\gamma \gamma}B = [65.4\pm2.6~(stat.)\pm6.9~(syst.)]$ eV for $\eta_{c}(1S)$ and $[5.6^{+1.2}_{-1.1}~(stat.)\pm1.1~(syst.)]$ eV for $\eta_{c}(2S)$. A new decay mode for the $\eta_{c}(1S) \to \eta' f_{0}(2080)$ with $f_{0}(2080) \to \pi^+ pi^-$ is observed with a statistical significance of 20$\sigma$. The $f_{0}(2080)$ mass and width are determined to be $M = [2083^{+63}_{-66}~(stat.)\pm 32~(syst.)] MeV/c^{2}$ and $\Gamma = [178^{+60}_{-178}~(stat.) \pm 55~(syst.)]$ MeV. The cross sections for $\gamma \gamma \to \eta' pi^+ pi^-$ and $\eta' f_{2}(1270)$ are measured for the first time.

Abstract: We report branching fraction measurements of the decays B+ -> eta l(+)v(l) and B+ -> eta'l(+)v(l) based on 711 fb(-1) of data collected near the (sic)(4S) resonance with the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. This data sample contains 772 million B (B) over bar events. One of the two B mesons is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode. Among the remaining ("signal-B") daughters, we search for the eta meson in two decay channels, eta -> gamma gamma and eta -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0), and reconstruct the eta' meson in eta' -> eta pi(+)pi(-) with subsequent decay of the eta into gamma gamma Combining the two. modes and using an extended maximum likelihood, the B+ -> eta l(+)v(l) branching fraction is measured to be (4.2 +/- 1.1 (stat.) +/- 0.3 (syst.)) x 10(-5). For B+ -> eta l(+)v(l),we observe no significant signal and set an upper limit of 0.72 x 10(-4) at 90% confidence level.

Abstract: We present the results of a search for the rare decays $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}h\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$, where $h$ stands for ${K}^{+},{K}_{\mathrm{S}}^{0},\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}{{K}^{*}}^{+},{{K}^{*}}^{0},{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+},{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0},{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{+}$ and ${\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}$. The results are obtained with $772\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}\text{ }\text{ }B\overline{B}$ pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. We reconstruct one $B$ meson in a semileptonic decay and require a single $h$ meson but nothing else on the signal side. We observe no significant signal and set upper limits on the branching fractions. The limits set on the ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}_{\mathrm{S}}^{0}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$, ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{{K}^{*}}^{0}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$, ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$, ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$, ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{+}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$, and ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}\ensuremath{\nu}\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}$ channels are the world's most stringent.

Abstract: We report a study of the charmless hadronic decay of the charged B meson to the three-body final state K+K-pi(+). The results are based on a data sample that contains 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Y (4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The measured inclusive branching fraction and direct CP asymmetry are (5.38 +/- 0.40 +/- 0.35) x 10(-6) and -0.170 +/- 0.073 +/- 0.017, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The K+K- invariant mass distribution of the signal candidates shows an excess in the region below 1.5 GeV/c(2), which is consistent with the previous studies from BABAR and LHCb. In addition, strong evidence of a large direct CP asymmetry is found in the low K+K- invariant-mass region.

Abstract: We report the first measurement of the T-odd moments in the decay D-0 -> K-S(0) pi + pi(-)pi(0) from a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 966 fb(-1) collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. From these moments we determine the CP-violation-sensitive asymmetry a(CP)(T-odd) = [-0.28 +/- 1.38 (stat.)(-0.76)(+0.23) (syst.)] x 10(-3) , which is consistent with no CP violation. In addition, we perform a(CP)(T-odd) measurements in different regions of the D-0 -> K-S(0) pi + pi(-)pi(0) phase space;these are also consistent with no CP violation.

Abstract: Theoretical evaluation of the angular scattering enhancement around the backscattering direction from a randomly rough surface is studied using the Kirchhoff approach. An analytic formulation of the polarized double-scattered intensity that takes into account the coherence of multiple scattering from the rough surface is used to evaluate quantitatively the scattering enhancement around the backscattering direction from a randomly rough surface.
