The article present case study of a 71-year-old man with a history of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia underwent a screening ultrasound for asymptomatic carotid artery stenosis. It mentions that fine-needle aspiration biopsy of the right thyroid mass and a right lymph node showed small clusters of cells; and also mentions that immunohistochemical staining showed rare cells positive for thyroid transcription factor 1.
