- Abstract
Due to the low localization accuracy in wireless sensor networks, this paper studied the distributed localization problem of large scale wireless sensor networks with multidimensional scaling-MAP (MDS-MAP) method. Under the MDS-MAP framework, it firstly analyzed and generalized the original merging condition to several relaxed conditions, and then designed an improved merging strategy by introducing a presented novel MDS approach. Based on the improved merging strategy, it finally proposed a distributed MDS-MAP localization algorithm. Due to the improved merging strategy can perform well for some more general conditions, the proposed algorithm possesses the advanced properties of lower merging demand, higher accuracy and robustness.
