Lymphoma is the most common malignant neoplasia in animals and has been reported in all species, being the second most frequent neoplasia in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) regardless of breed, age or sex. DNA viruses and retroviruses are causes of lymphoma, but this neoplasia may arise spontaneously. This study aims to report a case of multicentric lymphoma in rabbits. A rabbit was submitted for necropsy at LPV-UNB and showed whitish, irregular and soft nodules in kidney, liver, stomach, brain and mediastinal lymph nodes. Microscopic examination revealed round cells arranged in sheets, with scant cytoplasm, eosinophilic, homogeneous, single large, rounded confirming the morphological diagnosis of lymphoma. Balantidium coli is a ciliated intestinal protozoan that has the swine as the natural host. Extraintestinal invasion by the ciliate is another condition rarely reported. We described here a disseminated infection by B. coli in an adult female nutria (Myocastor coypus) captured in an ecological reserve. The nutria presented neurological symptoms before dying and showed pulmonary and cerebral lesions at autopsy. Histopathology revealed typical trophozoites of B. coli in a cerebral mixed inflammatory cell infiltrated, in the lung, anterior chamber of the eye and blood vessels. Firearm euthanasia is widely used method on positive horses for Equine Infectious Anemia in Brazil. Death occurs by massive destruction of brain tissue and the damage degree depends on the gun, projectile, and shooting precision. Were evaluated cranial bone lesions of eight horses euthanized and brain lesions on two of those animals. This study aimed to verify the applicability of procedures for the efficiency of the method and the lesions features, with emphasis on fatal ones, found especially in the frontal, sphenoid and occipital bones, and on cerebral hemisphere, thalamus, hypothalamus, and brain stem. Difficulties in applying the method for animals in group were identified. Congenital anomalies have worldwide distribution and may cause considerable reproductive losses, causing abortions and death of newborns. This paper describes the anatomic-pathologic findings of a case of brain malformation in a calf. Clinical analyses was conducted by five days, where the main clinical signs were ataxia, dysmetria, walking in circles and collision against obstacles. This retrospective study was aimed to identify dogs with neoplasms affecting the central nervous system (CNS) and compile information on the affected breeds, sex, age group, anatomical site of the tumor, type of clinical signs and clinical course. The neoplasms included in this study occurred mainly in Boxers and the predominantly affected age-group was 5-10-year-old. Primary CNS neoplasms accounted for 57.7% of the cases, 73.3% of which were brain tumors and 26.6% spinal cord tumors. Meningioma was the most frequently diagnosed neoplasm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Choroid plexus papillomas are tumors of the central nervous system with ventricular localizations causing compression of the nervous tissue with neurological disorders. This case occurred in a 11 years old Boxer with clinical incoordination, deafness, blindness and respiratory difficulty. Macroscopically, the brain showed an irregular mass, circumscribed, soft, "cauliflower" aspect on the ventral part of the brainstem from the middle region pyramidal extending to the vicinity of the olfactory bulb involving the lateral region of the colliculus and cerebral cortex. Microscopically there was proliferation of columnar cells forming projections arboriform and large nests enclosed by a capsule of connective tissue.
