This work is an attempt to give a brief overview of the implementation of the statistical ther- modynamics to hadronic matter. The possibility to use the hydrodynamic approach for developing the physical model of the formation of exotic structures in the head-on intermediate-energy heavy ion collisions is discussed. That approach is shown to be able to provide simple analytical expressions describing each step of the collision process. This allows for extracting the data concerning nuclear matter properties (surface tension, compressibility, etc.) from the properties of observed fragments. The advantages of the thermodynamic analysis of phase trajectories of the system in heavy ion collisions are discussed. Within the thermodynamic approach, the method to evaluate the curvature correction to the surface tension from the nuclear matter equation of state is described. The possibility to use statistical thermodynamics in the studies of hadronic matter and quantum liquids is discussed., Comment: 15 pages, 13 figures

Exclusive J/\Psi photo- and electroproduction is studied in the framework of the analytic S-matrix theory. The differential and integrated elastic cross sections are calculated using the Modified Dual Amplitude with Mandelstam Analyticity (M-DAMA) model. The model is applied to the description of the available experimantal data and proves to be valid in a wide region of the kinematical variables s, t, and Q^2. An earlier developed model for vector meson photoproduction, based on a dipole Pomeron exchange, is extended to electroproduction. Universality of the non linear Pomeron trajectory is tested by fitting the model to ZEUS and H1 data as well as to CDF data on $\bar pp$ elastic scattering, 6 pages, 5 figures, talk presented by A. The recently measured inclusive electron-proton cross section in the nucleon resonance region, performed with the CLAS detector at the Thomas Jefferson Laboratory, has provided new data for the nucleon structure function $F_2$ with previously unavailable precision. In this paper we propose a description of these experimental data based on a Regge-dual model for $F_2$. The basic inputs in the model are nonlinear complex Regge trajectories producing both isobar resonances and a smooth background. The model is tested against the experimental data, and the $Q^2-$ dependence of the moments is calculated. The fitted model for the structure function (inclusive cross section) is a limiting case of the more general scattering amplitude equally applicable to deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS). We argue that at low-energies, typical of the resonance region, the contribution from direct-channel exotic trajectories replaces the Pomeron exchange, typical of high energies. A dual model realizing this idea is suggested. While at high energies it matches the Regge pole behavior, dominated by a Pomeron exchange, at low energies it produces a smooth, structureless behavior of the total cross section determined by a direct-channel nonlinear exotic trajectory, dual to the Pomeron exchange., Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure. A model for a Regge trajectory compatible with the threshold behavior required by unitarity and asymptotics in agreement with Mandelstam analyticity is analyzed and confronted with the experimental data on the spectrum of the $\rho$ trajectory as well as those on the $\pi^- p\to \pi^0 n$ charge-exchange reaction. The double coherent and non-coherent diffractive production of heavy quark - antiquark pairs ($Q \bar{Q}$) in heavy ion scattering at high energies (LHC) is considered. The total and differential cross sections of these processes with the formation of $c \bar{c}$ and $b \bar{b}$ pairs in $pp$, $CaCa$ and $PbPb$ collisions are evaluated. The contribution of the considered mechanisms is a few per cent of the number of heavy quark - antiquark pairs obtained in the processes of hard (QCD) scattering, and it will be taken into account in the registration of $c$, $b$ quarks or, for instance, in the study of the heavy quarkonia suppression effects in Quark - Gluon Plasma, in the search for intermediate mass Higgs bosons and so on. It is shown that the cross section of the coherent scattering process is great enough. This makes it suitable for studying collective effects in nuclear interactions at high energies. An example of such effects is given: large values of the invariant mass of a $Q \bar{Q}$pair, $M_{Q \bar{Q}} \gsim 100$ GeV, in association with a large rapidity gap between diffractive jets $\Delta \eta > 5$., Comment: 22 pages, 5(.eps) figures, 3 tables, LaTeX

Hadron diffraction dissociation is considered in the dipole Pomeron model where the Pomeron is represented by a double pole in the J-plane. We find that unitarity is satisfied without decoupling of the triple Pomeron vertex. The reaction bar{p}+p --> bar{p}+X is analysed., 12 pages, LaTeX

Pomeron non factorization for the diffractive scattering is considered and an analysis of experimental data is performed with different cuts in the momentum fraction $\xi$. The results of the analysis are compared with the breaking predicted in the Genovese-Nikolaev-Zakharov model., Comment: 14 pages, Latex + 2 figures (postscript files)

It is shown that the dipole pomeron model of single diffraction dissociation -- contrary to the case of the supercritical pomeron -- is compatible with the inequality $\sigma^{SD}\leq\sigma^{tot}$, imposed by unitarity, provided the triple pomeron coupling satisfies certain conditions. With the adopted approximation the model considered as a parcticular solution of the triple pomeron decoupling problem. Explicit forms of such a coupling and a qualitative comparison with the experimental data on single DD are presented. The two-point Green function of the massive scalar $(3+1)$-quantum field theory with $����^4$ interaction at finite temperature is evaluated up to the 2nd order of perturbation theory. The averaging on the vacuum fluctuations is separated from the averaging on the thermal fluctuations explicitly. As a result, the temperature dependent part of the propagator is expressed through the scattering amplitudes. The obtained expression is generalized for higher orders of perturbation theory., 9 pages
