We investigate the deformation dependence of the moment of inertia $\cal J$ for light nuclei $^{24}$Mg and $^{20}$Ne and find regimes where $\cal J$ decreases with increasing the axial quadrupole deformation $\beta$, at variance with the generally expected increasing trend. The study is based on quadrupole constrained calculations using three cranking approaches for $\cal J$ (Inglis-Belyaev, Thouless-Valatin, adiabatic time-dependent Hartree-Fock) and representative set of Skyrme forces (SVbas, SkM* and SLy6). The calculations cover a wide deformation range 0 $< \beta < $ 1.2. The anomalous regime with $d{\cal J}/d\beta, Comment: 12 pages, 9 figures

Background: In highly deformed nuclei, there is a noticeable coupling of the Isoscalar Giant Monopole Resonance (ISGMR) and the $K = 0$ component of the Isoscalar Giant Quadrupole Resonance (ISGQR), which results in a double peak structure of the isoscalar monopole (IS0) strength (a narrow low-energy deformation-induced peak and a main broad ISGMR part). The energy of the narrow low-lying IS0 peak is sensitive to both the incompressibility modulus $K_\infty$ and the coupling between IS0 and isoscalar quadrupole (IS2) strength. Objective: This study aims to investigate the two-peaked structure of the ISGMR in the prolate $^{24}$Mg and oblate $^{28}$Si nuclei and identify among a variety of energy density functionals based on Skyrme parameterisations the one which best describes the experimental data. This will allow for conclusions regarding the nuclear incompressibility. Because of the strong IS0/IS2 coupling, the deformation splitting of the ISGQR will also be analysed. Methods: The ISGMR was excited in $^{24}$Mg and $^{28}$Si using $\alpha$-particle inelastic scattering measurements acquired with an $E_\alpha = 196$ MeV beam at scattering angles $\theta_{\text{Lab}} = 0^\circ$ and $4^\circ$. The K$600$ magnetic spectrometer at iThemba LABS was used to detect and momentum analyse the inelastically scattered $\alpha$ particles. An experimental energy resolution of $\approx 70$ keV (FWHM) was attained, revealing fine structure in the excitation-energy region of the ISGMR. The IS0 strength distributions in the nuclei studied were obtained with the Difference-of-Spectrum (DoS) technique. Individual low-energy E1 toroidal and compressional states (TS and CS) produced by the convective nuclear current ${\bf j}_{\rm c}$ were recently predicted for $^{24}$Mg in the framework of quasiparticle random-phase-approximation (QRPA) with Skyrme forces. In the present QRPA study with Skyrme parametrization SLy6, we explore in more detail properties of these states (toroidal and compressional responses, current distributions, and transitions probabilities $B(E1K, 0^+0 \to 1^-K),\; B(E3K, 0^+0 \to 3^-K)$, $B(M2K, 0^+0 \to 2^-K)$ with $K=$0 and 1) and analyze the possibility to discriminate and identify TS in inelastic electron scattering to back angles. The interplay of the convective ${\bf j}_{\rm c}$ and magnetization ${\bf j}_{\rm m}$ nuclear currents is thoroughly scrutinized. A two-step scheme for identification of TS in $(e,e')$ reaction is proposed. We analyze the relation between isoscalar toroidal modes and so-called pygmy dipole resonance (PDR) which both appear in the same region of low-energy dipole excitations. To this end, we use a theoretical description within the fully self-consistent Skyrme quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA). Test cases are spherical nuclei $^{40,48}$Ca, $^{58,72}$Ni, $^{90,100}$Zr, and $^{100,120,132}$Sn which cover four different elements and for each element at least two isotopes with different neutron excess, one small and another large. The structure of the modes is investigated in terms of strength functions, transition densities (TD) and transition currents (TC). For all considered nuclei, we see that, independently on whether PDR strength exists or not, the flow pattern in the lower part of the "PDR energy region" is basically the isoscalar vortical toroidal motion with a minor irrotational fraction. A one-to-one correspondence between calculated TD and TC can be established. The toroidal flow appears already in the uncoupled two-quasiparticle (2qp) excitations and becomes definitively strong for the QRPA modes. Altogether, we find that low-lying dipole strength often denoted as isoscalar PDR is actually an oversimplified imitation of the basically toroidal motion in nuclei with a sufficient neutron excess., Comment: 12 pages, 14 figures

The energy levels of the $n=1$ and $n=2$ bound states of the $��^+��^-$ atom (true muonium) are calculated starting from a previously derived potential that correctly describes positronium to order $��^5$. All electron vacuum polarization corrections on the true muonium levels are computed to the same $��^5$ order and a few of order $��^6$ are examined to get a sense of size of these contributions. We suggest a generalized method for elimination of spurious admixtures (SA) from intrinsic nuclear excitations described within the Quasiparticle-Random-Phase-Approximation (QRPA). Various kinds of SA-corrections are treated at the same theoretical ground. The known corrections are well reproduced. As relevant cases, we consider subtraction of SA related with i) violation of the translational invariance (isovector E1 and isoscalar toroidal and compression E1 modes), ii) pairing-induced non-conservation of the particle number (E2(K=0) and E0 modes), and iii) rotational invariance (E2(K=1) and M1(K=1) modes). The SA subtraction can be done at the level of QRPA states, electromagnetic responses, and even transition operators. The additional deformation-induced corrections are proposed. The deformation-induced splitting of isoscalar giant monopole resonance (ISGMR) is systematically analyzed in a wide range of masses covering medium, rare-earth, actinide, and superheavy axial deformed nuclei. The study is performed within the fully self-consistent quasiparticle random-phase-approximation (QRPA) method based on the Skyrme functional. Two Skyrme forces, one with a large (SV-bas) and one with a small (SkP) nuclear incompressibility, are considered. The calculations confirm earlier results that, due to the deformation-induced E0-E2 coupling, the isoscalar E0 resonance attains a double-peak structure and significant energy upshift. Our results are compared with available analytic estimations. Unlike earlier studies, we get a smaller energy difference between the lower and upper peaks and thus a stronger E0-E2 coupling. This in turn results in more pumping of E0 strength into the lower peak and more pronounced splitting of ISGMR. The low-lying $M1$-strength of the open-shell nucleus $^{50}$Cr has been studied with the method of nuclear resonance fluorescence up to 9.7 MeV, using bremsstrahlung at the superconducting Darmstadt linear electron accelerator S-DALINAC and Compton backscattered photons at the High Intensity $\gamma$-ray Source (HI$\gamma$S) facility between 6 and 9.7 MeV of the initial photon energy. Fifteen $1^{+}$ states have been observed between 3.6 and 9.7 MeV. Following our analysis, the lowest $1^{+}$ state at 3.6 MeV can be considered as an isovector orbital mode with some spin admixture. The obtained results generally match the estimations and trends typical for the scissors-like mode. Detailed calculations within the Skyrme Quasiparticle Random-Phase-Approximation method and the Large-Scale Shell Model justify our conclusions. The calculated distributions of the orbital current for the lowest $1^{+}$-state suggest the schematic view of Lipparini and Stringari (isovector rotation-like oscillations inside the rigid surface) rather than the scissors-like picture of Lo Iudice and Palumbo. The spin M1 resonance is shown to be mainly generated by spin-flip transitions between the orbitals of the $fp$-shell., Comment: Accepted in PRC as a regular article

Density functional theory is a preferred microscopic method for calculation of nuclear properties over the whole nuclear chart. Besides ground-state properties, which are calculated by Hartree-Fock theory, nuclear excitations can be described by means of Random Phase Approximation (RPA). The main objective of the present work is to give Skyrme RPA formalism for spherically symmetric nuclei, using the techniques of angular-momentum coupling. Various auxiliary topics, such as Hartree-Fock theory, Coulomb integral, center-of-mass corrections and pairing, are treated as well. RPA method is derived also for axially deformed nuclei. The derived formulae are then implemented in the computer code and utilized for calculation of some physical results. After thorough investigation of the precision aspects of the calculation, the following topics are treated as examples: toroidal nature of the low-energy (pygmy) part of the E1 resonance, giant resonances of various multipolarities in deformed nucleus Sm-154, and magnetic dipole (M1) transitions in deformed Cr-50. We review a recent progress in investigation of the isoscalar toroidal dipole resonance (TDR). A possible relation of the TDR and low-energy dipole strength (also called a pygmy resonance) is analyzed. It is shown that the dipole strength in the pygmy region can by understood as a local manifestation of the collective vortical toroidal motion at the nuclear surface. Application of the TDR as a measure of the nuclear dipole vorticity is discussed. To gain some sense about the likelihood of measuring the Higgs boson quartic coupling, we calculate the contribution to the triple Higgs production cross section from the subprocesses $q\bar{q}\to ZHHH$ and $q\bar{q}'\to WHHH$. The isoscalar giant monopole resonance (GMR) in spherical nuclei $^{100-132}$Sn, $^{144}$Sm, and $^{208}$Pb is investigated within the Skyrme random-phase-approximation (RPA) for a variety of Skyrme forces and different pairing options. The calculated GMR strength functions are directly compared to the available experimental distributions. It is shown that, in accordance to results of other groups, description of GMR in Sn and heavier Sm/Pb nuclei needs different values of the nuclear incompressibilty, $K \approx$ 200 or 230 MeV, respectively. Thus none from the used Skyrme forces is able to describe GMR in these nuclei simultaneously. The GMR peak energy in open-shell $^{120}$Sn is found to depend on the isoscalar effective mass, which might be partly used for a solution of the above problem. The Dalitz decay $H\to\,f\bar{f}��$ is calculated for very small $f\bar{f}$ invariant masses where the $f\bar{f}$ pair could be mistaken for a photon in analysis of $H\to����$ decays. The isoscalar giant monopole resonance (GMR) in Samarium isotopes (from spherical $^{144}$Sm to deformed $^{148-154}$Sm) is investigated within the Skyrme random-phase-approximation (RPA) for a variety of Skyrme forces. The exact RPA and its separable version (SRPA) are used for spherical and deformed nuclei, respectively. The results previously obtained from the model-independent application of a generalized hidden horizontal $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry to the neutrino mass matrix are updated using the latest global fits for the neutrino oscillation parameters. The resulting prediction for the Dirac $CP$ phase $��_D$ is in agreement with recent results from T2K. The distribution for the Jarlskog invariant $J_��$ has become sharper and appears to be approaching a particular region. The approximate effects of matter on long baseline neutrino experiments are explored, and it is shown how the weak interactions between the neutrinos and the particles that make up the Earth can help to determine the mass hierarchy. A similar strategy is employed to show how NO$��$A and T2K could determine the octant of $��_a (\equiv ��_{23})$. Finally, the exact effects of matter are obtained numerically in order to make comparisons with the form of the approximate solutions. Two basic concepts of nuclear vorticity, hydrodynamical (HD) and Rawenthall-Wambach (RW), are critically inspected. As a test case, we consider the interplay of irrotational and vortical motion in isoscalar electric dipole E1(T=0) modes in $^{208}$Pb, namely the toroidal and compression modes. The modes are described in a self-consistent random-phase-approximation (RPA) with the Skyrme force SLy6. They are examined in terms of strength functions, transition densities, current fields, and formfactors. It is shown that the RW conception (suggesting the upper component of the nuclear current as the vorticity indicator) is not robust. The HD vorticity is not easily applicable either because the definition of a velocity field is too involved in nuclear systems. Instead, the vorticity is better characterized by the toroidal strength which closely corresponds to HD treatment and is approximately decoupled from the continuity equation., Comment: 12 pages, 9 figures

A precise comparison is made between the Dalitz decay $H\to\ell\bar{\ell}��$ and the two body decay $H\to��Z,Z\to\ell\bar{\ell}$ for electrons and for muons including experimental cuts appropriate for the ATLAS detector. The widths for these two processes differ by 8% for electrons and 3% for muons. Given that there remain QCD radiative corrections of this order that are not included, this suggests that the isolation of the Dalitz decay will be challenging., 4 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables

The phenomenological consequences of the residual Z^s_2 and Zbar^s_2 symmetries are explored in detail. With a precisely measured value of the reactor angle, these two residual symmetries predict distinct distributions for the Dirac CP phase and the atmospheric angle, which leads to the possibility of identifying them at neutrino experiments. For both symmetries, it is possible to resolve the neutrino mass hierarchy in most of the parameter space, and they can be distinguished from one another if the true residual symmetry is Z^s_2 and the atmospheric angle is non-maximal. These results are obtained using an equally split schedule: a 1.5-year run of neutrinos and a 1.5-year run of antineutrinos at NOvA together with a 2.5-year run of neutrinos and a 2.5-year run of antineutrinos at T2K. This schedule can significantly increase and stabilize the sensitivities to the mass hierarchy and the octant of the atmospheric angle with only a moderate compromise to the sensitivity of distinguishing Z^s_2 and Zbar^s_2., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, references and figures updated

We investigate the effects of including the full three-loop QCD correction to the static short distance $1/r$ potential on the spectroscopy and decays in the charmonium and upsilon systems. We use a variational technique with the full three-loop corrected potential to determine a set of unperturbed trial wave functions and treat the relativistic and one-loop corrections as perturbations. The perturbed results are compared to the subset of the charmonium and upsilon spectra using a $\chi^2$ test. The ATLAS Collaboration has recently announced the discovery of the 3P states of the Upsilon system, chi_b(3P), with mass of 10.539+-0.004(stat.)+-0.008(syst.) GeV. In a previous investigation of the Upsilon system, in the context of a comprehensive one-loop potential model, we calculated the masses of these states, but did not include them. The effective interaction for two neutrino, two photon coupling is used to find an approximate width for the decay of the Z boson into the nu nubar gamma gamma final state., Three pages, 2 figures

The residual Z^s_2(k) and bar Z^s_2(k) symmetries induce a direct and unique phenomenological relation with theta_x (= theta_13) expressed in terms of the other two mixing angles, theta_s (= theta_12) and theta_a (= theta_23), and the Dirac CP phase delta_D. Z^s_2(k) predicts a theta_x probability distribution centered around 3^o ~ 6^o with an uncertainty of 2^o to 4^o while those from bar Z^s_2(k) are approximately a factor of two larger. Either result fits the T2K, MINOS and Double CHOOZ measurements. Alternately a prediction for the Dirac CP phase delta_D results in a peak at +-74^o (+-106^o) for Z^s_2(k) or +-123^o (+-57^o) for bar Z^s_2(k) which is consistent with the latest global fit. We explore the consequences of the neutrino mass matrix having a hidden $\mathcal{Z}_2$ symmetry and one zero eigenvalue. When implemented, these two conditions give relations among the mixing angles. We explore the consequences of assuming that the neutrino mass matrix is a linear combination of the matrices of a three dimensional representation of the group $S_3$ and that it has one zero mass eigenvalue. We present a calculation of the two-photon and two-gluon widths for the equal mass quarkonium states $^1S_0$, $^3P_0$ and $^3P_2$ of the charmonium and upsilon systems. The approach taken is based on using the full relativistic $q\bar{q}\to\ga\ga$ amplitude together with a wave function derived from the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation. We have computed the charge that develops on an SQN in space as a result of balance between the rates of ionization by ambient gammas and capture of ambient electrons. We have also computed the times for achieving that equilibrium and binding energy of the least bound SQN electrons. We have done this for seven different settings. We investigate the spectroscopy and decays of the charm-strange quarkonium system in a potential model consisting of a relativistic kinetic energy term, a linear confining term including its scalar and vector relativistic corrections and the complete perturbative one-loop quantum chromodynamic short distance potential. The masses and wave functions of the various states are obtained using a variational technique, which are then used in a perturbative treatment of the potential to find the mass spectrum of the $c\bar{s}$ system and radiative decay widths. Our results compare well with the available data for the spectrum of $D_s$ states. Recently published measurements of the branching ratios ${\cal B}(��(1S)\to\ga ��_C(1S))$ and ${\cal B}(��(2S)\to\ga ��_C(1S))$ by the CLEO collaboration are examined in the context of a potential model that includes both relativistic and one-loop QCD corrections to the quark-antiquark interaction. The prediction for the width $��(��(1S)\to\ga ��_C(1S))$ is in excellent agreement with the new data but the prediction for $��(��(2S)\to\ga ��_C(1S))$ is too small. In an effort to understand this discrepancy, we derive an upper bound on $��(��(2S)\to\ga ��_C(1S))$ and point out its experimental value saturates this bound., Corrected typos, addeded reference

We present a detailed calculation of the electron-positron production rate using neutrinos in an intense background magnetic field. The computation is done for the process nu -> nu e- e+ (where nu can be nu_e, nu_mu, or nu_tau) within the framework of the Standard Model. We have performed a one-loop calculation of the width of the rare decay H -> Z Z \gamma in the standard model for Higgs boson masses 190 GeV \leq m_H \leq 250 GeV. We find that the most dominant helicity combinations for the Z bosons and the photon is when one of the Z bosons is longitudinally polarized and the other Z boson and the photon have the same helicity. A comparison of the decay width \Gamma(H->Z Z \gamma) to those of H->\gamma \gamma and H->\gamma Z shows that the ratios of the decay widths are \Gamma(H->Z Z \gamma) / \Gamma(H->\gamma\gamma) ~ \Gamma(H->Z Z \gamma) / \Gamma(H->\gamma Z) ~ 10^{-7}., Comment: 4 pages, 5 figures, RevTeX, figures corrected

We utilize the recently released supernova data of Riess {\it et al.} on the acceleration of the universe to determine how the parameters of a particular modification of gravity, the DGP 5-dimensional theory, are changed when compared to determinations using earlier data sets. We show the parameters of the theory are now very tightly constrained and at very reasonable values. For example, the curvature parameter, $\Omega_k$, in contrast to an earlier analysis which used a smaller data set, is now consistent with zero, and the redshift at which the universe starts to accelerate is near unity., Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures. We examine the spectra and radiative decays of the cc-bar and bb-bar systems using a model which incorporates the complete one-loop spin-dependent perturbative QCD short distance potential, a linear confining term including (spin-dependent) relativistic corrections to order v^2/c^2, and a fully relativistic treatment of the kinetic energy. We compute the total cross section as well as angular and energy distributions for process $e^+e^-\to������$ with both unpolarized and polarized beams in the framework of noncommutative quantum electrodynamics (NCQED). The calculation is performed in the center of mass of colliding electron and positron and is evaluated for energies and integrated luminosities appropriate to future linear colliders. We find that by using unpolarized beams it is possible to probe the Lorentz symmetry violating azimuthal dependence of the cross section. Furthermore, with polarized beams the left-right asymmetry of the CP violating NCQED amplitudes can be used to obtain bounds on the noncommutative scale $��_{NC}$ which exceed 1.0 TeV., version accepted by Physical Review

We examine to what extent several recently discovered narrow resonances can be interpreted as conventional $c\bar{c}$ bound states describable using a potential model. In doing so, we use a semirelativistic approach, which includes both the $v^2/c^2$ and QCD one-loop corrections to the short distance potential and a long range linear potential together with its scalar and vector $v^2/c^2$ spin-dependent terms., Comment: 3 pages, contribution to DPF2004

We compute the Noncommutative QCD (NCQCD) contributions to the three gluon decay modes of heavy quarkonia. For triplet quarkonia (ortho-quarkonia), the NCQCD correction to the QCD three gluon decay mode, like the standard model contribution, is infrared finite. In the case of singlet quarkonia (para-quarkonia), whose QCD three gluon decay mode has infrared singularities which are removed using one-loop corrections to the two gluon mode, we find that NCQCD contribution is also infrared finite. We examine the implications of including corrections associated with the noncommutative extension of quantum electrodynamics - NCQED - to the decays of the ortho and para positronium (\Trip and \Sing) ground states. In NCQED, the well known charge conjugation argument restricting \Trip decays to an odd number of photons and \Sing decays to an even number of photons no longer obtains. Instead, the dominant two photon decay mode of \Sing is accompanied by a three photon mode. The dominant three photon decay mode of \Trip receives a NCQED correction, but there is no corresponding two photon decay mode in the weak binding limit. These corrections to the $P_s$ three photon decay mode have a different energy distribution, but their effect is too small to explain any discrepancy between the observed and calculated values of the \Trip lifetime., Comment: Additional references

Recent measurements suggest our universe has a substantial dark energy component, which is usually interpreted in terms of a cosmological constant. Here we examine how much the form of this dark energy can be modified while still retaining an acceptable fit to the high redshift supernova data. Approximately forty years ago it was realized that the time development of decaying systems might not be precisely exponential. Rolf Winter (Phys. Rev. {\bf 123}, 1503 (1961)) analyzed the simplest nontrivial system - a particle tunneling out of a well formed by a wall and a delta-function. He calculated the probability current just outside the well and found irregular oscillations on a short time scale followed by an exponential decrease followed by more oscillations and finally by a decrease as a power of the time. We have reanalyzed this system, concentrating on the survival probability of the particle in the well rather than the probability current, and find a different short time behavior., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, RevTex4

The Higgs boson decay, H -> mu mubar gamma, is studied in the Standard Model at the tree and one-loop levels. It is shown that for Higgs boson masses above 110 GeV, the contribution to the radiative width from the one-loop level exceeds the contribution from the tree level, and for Higgs boson masses above 140 GeV, it even exceeds the contribution from the tree level decay H -> mu mubar. We also show that the contributions to the radiative decay width from the interference terms between the tree and one-loop diagrams are negligible., 4 pages, two column, 5 postscript figures

The one-loop helicity amplitudes for the elastic scattering process $\gamma\nu\to\gamma\nu$ in the Standard Model are computed at high center of mass energies. A general decomposition of the amplitudes is utilized to investigate the validity of some of the key features of our results. In the center of mass, where $\sqrt{s} = 2\omega$, the cross section grows roughly as $\omega^6$ to near the threshold for $W$-boson production, $\sqrt{s} = m_W$. Although suppressed at low energies, we find that the elastic cross section exceeds the cross section for $\gamma\nu\to\gamma\gamma\nu$ when $\sqrt{s}>13 $ GeV. We demonstrate that the scattered photons are circularly polarized and the net value of the polarization is non-zero. We present collider tests of the recent proposal for weak-scale quantum gravity due to new large compact space dimensions in which only the graviton ($\G$) propagates. We show that the existing high precision LEP-I $Z$-pole data can impose non-trivial constraints on the scale of the new dimensions, via the decay mode $Z\to f\bar{f}+\G$ ($f=q,\ell$). These bounds are comparable to those obtained at high energy colliders and provide the first sensitive probe of the scalar graviton. We also study $W(Z)+\G$ production and the anomalous $WW(ZZ)$ signal from virtual $\G$-states at the Fermilab Tevatron, and compare them with the LEP-I bound and those from LEP-II and future linear colliders., Comment: 4 pages, 1 postscript figure included

We calculate the rates and lepton (l) invariant mass distributions for decays of the form 0^{-+}->l^+l^-��, which are important radiative corrections to the purely leptonic decays 0^{-+}->l^+l^-. Our approach uses the loop diagrams which arise by including the two photon intermediate state and we retain the imaginary parts of the loops - a radiative extension of the `unitarity bound' for the process. The cross sections for the processes $����\to ������$, $����\to����\bar��$ and $��\bar��\to������$ are calculated for a range of center of mass energies from below $m_e$ to considerably above $m_e$, but much less than $m_W$. This enables us to treat the neutrino--electron coupling as a four--Fermi interaction and results in amplitudes which are electron box diagrams with three real photons and one virtual photon at their vertices. These calculations extend our previous low--energy effective interaction results to higher energies and enable us to determine where the effective theory is reliable., 12 pages, RevTex, 10 postscript figures included

We present cross sections for the reactions p pbar --> H gamma and pp --> H��arising from the subprocess q qbar --> H gamma. The calculation includes the complete one-loop contribution from all light quarks as well as the tree contributions from light quarks and c and b quarks. These are the main sources of Higgs-photon associated production at hadron colliders. At Tevatron energies, the cross section is typically between 0.1fb and 1 fb for 80 Gev < m_H < 160 GeV, and at LHC energies it exceeds about 2 fb over the same range of m_H. While substantial, these cross sections are not large enough to produce a signal which is discernable above the backgrounds from q qbar-->b bbar gamma and gg-->b bbar gamma., 11 pages RevTeX, 3 postscript figures included. We study the production of neutral scalar (CP even) Higgs bosons in the process $e��\to e h$ by including supersymmetric corrections to the dominant $t$-channel photon exchange amplitude. In addition to the standard model $W^{\pm}$ and fermion loops, there are substantial contributions from chargino loops. For some cases, these contributions can exceed those of the $W$'s and ordinary fermions. The cross sections in this channel are generally one or two orders of magnitude larger than those in the related channel $e\bar{e}\to��h$., 12 pages RevTeX, 5 postscript figures included, uses epsf.sty

We present cross sections for the reaction $��\bar��\to H��$ over a range of $��\bar��$ collider energies. The amplitudes for this process receive tree level contributions and one-loop contributions, which are of comparable magnitude. The tree level amplitudes are dominated by helicity non-flip terms and the one-loop amplitudes are dominated by helicity flip terms. As a consequence, the interference terms between the tree level and one-loop contributions are negligible. For a 500 GeV $��\bar��$ collider, the cross section for $H��$ associated production approaches 0.1 fb., 8 pages, ReVTeX, 5 postscript figures included

The process mu+ mu- --> H gamma, though small compared to the resonance process, could be observable at proposed muon colliders, given expected integrated luminosities. The apparently leading diagrams occur at tree-level, and are proportional to the Higgs-muon coupling. We show, however, that the one-loop contribution is comparable to the tree-level amplitude. Furthermore, the one-loop diagrams, unlike those at tree-level, could be greatly enhanced by possible anomalous Higgs-top quark or Higgs-gauge boson couplings. For a 500 GeV unpolarized muon collider, the total cross section for H-gamma associated production approaches 0.1 fb., 6 pages, 4 figures, aipproc.sty.
