Objectives: to comprehend men's perception of paternal parenthood while caring for infants to promote child development., Methods: this qualitative study adopts an exploratory approach and was conducted with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff who are fathers of infants up to 6 months old from a higher education institution, excluding fathers from mononuclear families. Data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews and was analyzed using thematic categorical analysis., Results: fifteen men participated in the study. From the analysis, two empirical categories emerged: "Perception of being a father: challenges and novelties" and "Promotion of child development: actions carried out by fathers". Fathers revealed feeling unprepared, the need for emotional support, and recognized activities aimed at their children's development., Final Considerations: the relevance of the paternal figure for child development is highlighted, as well as the need for public policies to encourage paternal parenthood.

Objectives: to understand families' behaviors and eating practices in the face of childhood obesity., Methods: a qualitative study, which used the Grounded Theory as a methodological framework and the Complexity Theory as a theoretical framework. Twenty-six informants participated in the study, who were part of two sample groups. Data were collected through intensive interviews, using a semi-structured script., Results: "The family system seeking to change eating behavior patterns in the face of childhood obesity" emerged as a central concept, relating three conceptual categories: "Recognizing its behavior patterns and eating practices"; "Reorganizing in the face of childhood obesity"; "Responding to change"., Final Considerations: the family influences children's eating behavior and contributes to changes that occur in it, which highlights the relevance of the family approach in childhood obesity care, raising reflection on the current nursing practice together with families who experience the same problem.

Objective: to identify the information demands of families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder., Method: this is a qualitative study conducted through semi-structured and audio-recorded interviews with 55 family members, in the states of Paraná, Ceará, and Macapá, between September 2018 and September 2019. Thematic category analysis and Qualitative Data Analysis Software resources were used for data organization., Results: it was identified that families need information regarding the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (definition, cause, possibility of cure, prognosis and the probability of having another child with Autism Spectrum Disorder); child's routine and behavior; future rights and expectations., Final Considerations: information demands are relevant to support professionals, health managers and other services in health care organization to support families of children with autism.

Objectives: to identify the relation between family management and socioeconomic situation of children and adolescents with neurological disorders., Methods: a descriptive and correlational study with 141 family members who answered a questionnaire on socioeconomic and family management information. Data collection took place between May and September 2016 in a pediatric neurology center. A descriptive and analytical analysis was carried out with the use of statistical tests in order to assess the relation of the variables researched., Results: a higher early childhood disease time was related with higher scores of management difficulty. There was relation between the highest family income and management skills and the lowest scores of family difficulty. The highest schooling level of mothers was associated with the lowest scores of disease impact view and family difficulty., Conclusions: family members with unfavorable socioeconomic situation had more difficulty with family management.

Objectives: to describe the Adult's perception of healthcare after Myocardium Infarction., Methods: qualitative descriptive analysis carried out with 12 adults who had myocardial infarction and conducted from February to May 2018. The research design was based on the "Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research". Data collection was performed through semi-structured questionnaire, interview script and field diary. The interviews were encoded, and their content was analyzed using software support., Results: three classes were obtained: "Fear, (un) certainty and (un) awareness"; "Lifestyle and beliefs of illness" and "Health care search". Unhealthy lifestyle habits, lack of health prevention / promotion, difficulties in accessing services and lack of knowledge about the disease generated fear and uncertainty about the future. Final Considerations: the perception of acute myocardial infarction is related to the trajectory of illness, lifestyle and the belief that the infarction only affects others.

Objective: To analyze the use of online information on health/illness by relatives of premature infants admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit., Method: Exploratory, qualitative study conducted at a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from a University Hospital in the state capital of southern Brazil, with 33 relatives of hospitalized premature infants. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview and were submitted to thematic analysis, with the aid of the software Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires (IRAMUTEQ®)., Results: From the data analysis, two thematic categories emerged: Online information on health/illness researched by relatives; and Online sources of information consulted by relatives., Final Considerations: Health professionals need to consider the use of online information by relatives in the care process, adding it in their practice in relation to the informational needs presented, and stimulating spaces for dialogue about the data found.

This article reports on an experience in the teaching of communication theory to nurse technician students in Curitiba, based on the use of problem solving skills. The results ratified Stefanelli's proposition concerning the teaching-learning process of the contents about human and therapeutic communication. Therapeutic communication strategies facilitate students' understanding, as well as the use of therapeutic communication in their relationship with patients. Learning was effective because teacher and students shared a common goal: the quality of nursing care.
