The article discusses the findings of the global "Leaders in Transition" study of Development Dimensions International (DDI) Inc. It reveals that India and China are suffering from widening gap between the demand for leaders and supply of workers. It also shows that promoted leaders fall short due to the successive transition that are demanding and ambiguous to corporate agenda. Furthermore, most organizations do not undertake actions in the promotion of right leaders, while leaders are looking for skills that could make them better than others. It suggests organizations not to rely on past performance in the prediction of the candidate's ability.
