The article explores the state of sleep quality in residential care. As some changes are expected on sleep as an individual ages, these changes are not expected to influence quantity or quality of sleep. The authors first conducted a study on the issue in 2008 and their present study aims to include international research. They discovered that conventional pharmacological strategies, music therapy and light therapy are some strategies used to improve sleep in residential care.
