Abstract

The article presents a letter entitled "Adverse events in clinical trials with azathioprine and mesalamine for prevention of postoperative recurrence of Crohn's disease," by H. Herfarth, C. Tjaden and M. Lukas published within the issue. The authors comment on the study about the efficacy and side effects of azathioprine in the therapy of ulcerative colitis.
