The article presents the final part of a three part report on the case of a 28-year-old postpartum woman with atypical right sided chest pain. A treadmill exercise was non-diagnostic, but stress echocardiography showed reduced systolic wall thickening. After a coronary angioplasty and drug treatment she had no further episodes of chest pain for six months. After that, another episode was examined through exercise stress echocardiograpgy and the results were normal.

The article presents the second of a three part interactive case report of a 28 year old postpartum woman with discomfort on the right side of her chest. Further evaluation by a cardiologist of the woman was prompted because of the presence of cardiovascular risk factors and an abnormal electrocardiogram. Her thyroid functions tests were abnormal. A large area of reduced systolic wall thickening affecting the anterior septum and apex with dilation of the left ventricle was observed.

This article presents the first in a three part interactive series of case reports where readers can participate in considering the diagnosis. The patient was a 28-year-old woman with pain on the right side of her chest, which began two months prior to coming into the hospital. The patient was previously diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism. She was obese with a body mass index of 34.6, but otherwise in good health.
