The article discusses ways on how to identify women at high risk of breast cancer. The link between supradiaphragmatic radiotherapy, which is being used for the treatment of Hodgkin's lymphoma, and breast cancer is tackled. Genes that increase the risk of the disease are cited, including mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. It suggests approaches on how to obtain a family history of the condition. Information on bilateral risk reducing mastectomies and chemoprevention is presented.
