The article presents a study which analyses the erasures and suspensions of medical practitioners from the list of registered medical practitioners (LRMP) by country. The study used LRMP data which was downloaded in March 15, 2011. It says that the medical practitioners on the list were classified into several classes including general practitioners (GP), hospital specialists, and trainee. Results show that 0.35% of doctors on the LRMP were listed as erased or suspended where in 14.05% of those were women while 85.95% were men. It mentions that the prevalence of erasure were higher for people with qualifications from the non-university licensing bodies.
