The article reports on the "Are All Authors Dead?," a research project conducted by teachers, Laureen Dickerson and Yvonne Weinstein, of Matthew Gage Middle School, in California. The project encourages the students to connect with authors in such a way that students would desire to read other books of the same author. The project has selected authors who had written variety of fun books at different levels, and the said level would find it comfortable in looking for those books. Authors that are accessible within the project include Judy Blume, Eve Bunting, Betsy Byars, and Jack Gantos.
