The article examines local implementation of a Massachusetts state law concerning the prevention of concussions in school sports activities, particularly regarding various decisions by schools during the implementation process including the use of neurocognitive testing, the authority and responsibilities of athletic trainers, doctors, and nurses in concussion protocols, and decisions concerning concussion education.
