Abstract

The article reports on statistics released by the American Institute of International Education (IIE) on November 11, 2013 as per which approximately 270,000 Chinese students studied in the U.S. colleges and universities in the 2012-2013 academic year. Topics discussed include an increase of 21.4 percent in the number of Chinese students as compared to 2011-2012, China being second to eight countries after India among the number of foreign students in the U.S., and a graph depicting the same.
