The article reports on the concerns regarding the use selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) in pregnancy, in Great Britain. Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency have found a new evidence regarding the use of SSRI. Maternal use of a range of SSRI may increase the risk of persistent pulmonary hypertension in newborns. Professor and study leader Christine Chambers added that such findings benefit patients and physicians to choose the optimal course of action.
