Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming ophthalmology by leveraging machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques, particularly artificial neural networks (ANN) and convolutional neural networks (CNN) to mimic human brain functions and enhance accuracy through data exposure. These AI systems are particularly effective in analyzing ophthalmic images for early disease detection, improving diagnostic precision, streamlining clinical workflows, and ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. This study aims to explore the specific applications and impact of AI in the fields of glaucoma, corneal diseases, and oculoplastics. This study reviews current AI technologies in ophthalmology, examining the implementation of ML and DL techniques. It evaluates AI's role in early disease detection, diagnostic accuracy, clinical workflow enhancement, and patient outcomes. AI has significantly advanced the early detection and management of various ocular conditions. In glaucoma, AI systems provide standardized, rapid identification of disease characteristics, reducing intra- and interobserver bias and workload. For corneal diseases, AI tools enhance diagnostic methods for conditions such as keratitis and keratoconus, improving early detection and treatment planning. In oculoplastics, AI assists in the diagnosis and monitoring of eyelid and orbital diseases, facilitating precise surgical planning and postoperative management. The integration of AI in ophthalmology has revolutionized eye care by enhancing diagnostic precision, streamlining clinical workflows, and improving patient outcomes. This review examines AI's efficacy in diagnosing conditions such as diabetic retinopathy (DR) and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) using imaging techniques, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fundus photography. AI also shows promise in pediatric care, aiding in the screening of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and the management of conditions, including pediatric cataracts and strabismus. However, the integration of AI in ophthalmology presents challenges, including ethical concerns regarding algorithm biases, privacy issues, and limitations in data set quality. Addressing these challenges is crucial to ensure AI's responsible and effective deployment in clinical settings. Muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is an aggressive disease with a high risk of metastasis. Bladder preservation with trimodality therapy (TMT) is an option for well-selected patients or poor cystectomy candidates. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT)-guided online adaptive radiotherapy (oART) shows promise in improving the dose to treatment targets while better sparing organs at risk (OARs). The following series presents two cases in which the capabilities of a CBCT-guided oART platform were leveraged to meet clinical challenges. The first case describes a patient with synchronous MIBC and high-risk prostate cancer with challenging target-OAR interfaces. The second recounts the case of a patient with a history of low dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy to the prostate who was later diagnosed with MIBC and successfully treated with CBCT-guided oART with reduced high-dose volume bladder targeting. To date, both patients report minimal side effects and are without disease recurrence. A distal femoral cemented modular prosthesis is a viable option for post-bone tumor and limb salvage procedures. The major reasons for implant failures are the poor quality of implants, mechanical stress, biochemical reactions, and extended period of the implant in vivo use. Rare incidences have been reported of distal femur prosthesis implant malfunctioning in a subject having osteosarcoma. Common adverse events associated with implant failure include surgical site infections, swelling, pain, revision of the surgical procedure, cyst formation, and build-up of metal debris on soft tissues. Our case report summarizes gross malfunctioning of a distal femur cemented modular prosthesis experienced by a 24-year-old post-operated osteosarcoma patient who developed excruciating sudden pain and the inability to bear weight on the right leg, with the sudden onset of these symptoms developing while turning in bed., Competing Interests: Human subjects: Consent was obtained or waived by all participants in this study. Angioedema is a non-pitting edema that involves the subcutaneous and submucosal layers of the face, lips, neck, oral cavity, larynx, and gut. It may become life-threatening when it involves tissues of the larynx. Angioedema can be triggered by exposure to drugs such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors), opioid drugs, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Tramadol is an opioid analgesic medication that may also induce angioedema, but the incidence of tramadol-induced angioedema is very rare in literature to date. It has been postulated that tramadol may cause fatal angioedema in the presence of underlying diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or concomitant drugs such as NSAIDs.
