Cystic lesions in the preauricular may have various histological origins, ranging from the skin to the acinar and non-acinar lesions from the parotid. Though advanced radiological investigations provide a good insight into the diagnosis of these lesions, diagnostic dilemmas may still prevail and warrant good clinical and surgical acumen to provide optimal treatment. Orthognathic surgeries are considered successful on the basis of postoperative stability, vascularity, and relapse rates. One among them is the multisegment Le Fort I osteotomy, which has often been disregarded due to vascular compromise. The complications associated with such an osteotomy are also primarily due to vascular ischemia. In the past, it was hypothesized that segmentation of the maxilla disrupted vascular supply to the osteotomized segments. However, the case series attempts to analyze the complications associated with a multisegment Le Fort I osteotomy and its incidence. This article documents four such cases that involve a Le Fort I osteotomy along with anterior segmentation. The patients experienced minimal or no postoperative complications. Recurrent bleeding due to mild trauma, tongue biting, poor oral hygiene, and expansion of the lesions causing difficulty in chewing, swallowing, or speaking is common sequelae of vascular lesions of the tongue. Cryosurgery is a technique for destroying lesions by the rapid freezing method. The necrotic tissue that results is allowed to slough naturally after the lesion is frozen. Cryosurgery has been utilized in the medical and dentistry field to treat many lesions as it is successful and easy to perform. It has a number of advantages, including ease of use, minimal infection rate, and no bleeding intraoperatively. This report presents a case of a 15-year-old female patient with a hemangiomatous lesion on the tongue that was successfully treated by cryosurgery using a liquid nitrogen spray. Plasma cell granuloma (PCG), also known as inflammatory pseudotumor, is of unknown etiopathogenesis. It commonly presents in the lungs and can also occur in the liver, kidney, brain, and heart. PCG is rare in the oral cavity and even rarer in the gingiva. The clinical and radiological presentation of this disease in the oral cavity appears to be aggressive in nature and is often misdiagnosed as a malignant lesion. Histopathology helps in distinguishing PCG of gingiva from other benign and malignant lesions of the gingiva. Amlodipine and cyclosporine-induced PCG of gingiva have been reported in the literature. This report presents a rare case of generalized plasma cell granuloma of the gingiva in an adult female patient who was on hormonal therapy for infertility. Treatment consisted of complete surgical excision of the lesion and extraction of teeth with a poor prognosis. The probability of occurrence of impacted permanent maxillary canine tooth is 2% and, in most cases, is an incidental finding. The management options for them vary from no treatment, surgical exposure, and orthodontic traction into dental arch, surgical removal, and autotransplantation. Although orthodontic traction into the dental arch is the ideal treatment of choice, it cannot be achieved in permanent maxillary canines impacted in unfavorable or aberrant positions. Mucormycosis is a rare, opportunistic fungal infection, which can progress acutely or subacutely in immunosuppressed patients. It is a devastating disease in patients with poorly controlled diabetes mellitus and immunocompromised conditions. It causes decaying and extensive lesions of the soft tissue caused by fungi belonging to the order of Mucorales and is often fatal. Due to its aggressive nature, early detection and prompt management are of great importance for a good prognosis.
