To explore the serum levels of IL-39, CXCL14, and IL-19 in patients with tuberculosis (TB) along with their clinical significances and their concentration changes in macrophages after Bacille Calmette-Guérin vaccine (BCG) or Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tb) H37Rv stimulation in vitro. The serum levels of IL-39, CXCL14, and IL-19 of 38 TB patients, and 20 healthy staff members were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Moreover, the levels of IL-19, CXCL14, and IL-39 in cultured THP-1 macrophages were detected at 12, 24, and 48 h after stimulation with BCG or M. tb H37Rv strains. It was found the serum level of IL-39 was significantly reduced and CXCL14 was remarkably elevated in TB patients. In vitro, at 48 h after stimulation, IL-39 level of cultured THP-1 macrophages in the H37Rv group was significantly lower than that in the BCG and control groups, and the CXCL14 level of cultured THP-1 macrophages in the H37Rv stimulation group was remarkably higher than that in the control group. Therefore, IL-39 and CXCL14 may be involved the pathogenesis of TB, and serum IL-39 and CXCL14 could potentially serve as a new biomarker of TB.

It is well known that a sufficient and necessary condition for a continuous function gg to be almost periodic on time scale T{\mathbb{T}} is the existence of an almost periodic function ff on R{\mathbb{R}} such that ff is an extension of gg. The purpose of this article is to extend these results to Sp{S}^{p}-almost periodic functions. We prove that the necessity is true, that is, an Sp{S}^{p}-almost periodic function on T{\mathbb{T}} can be extended to an Sp{S}^{p}-almost periodic function on R{\mathbb{R}}. However, a counterexample is given to show that the sufficiency is not true in general. By introducing a concept of minor translation set and characterizing the almost periodicity on T{\mathbb{T}} in terms of this new concept, we obtain a condition to ensure the sufficiency. Moreover, we show the necessity of this condition by a counterexample.

Effect of pre-oxidation on the steam oxidation of T92 heat-resistant steel at 650 °C was investigated. The results show that the mass gain and the oxide thickness of T92 sample with pre-oxidation treatment were lower than that of T92 sample after exposure in steam at 650 °C. The compact and discrete Cr-rich oxide which formed on the pre-oxidized specimen hindered ion diffusion, leading to the lower oxidation rate. The effect of pre-oxidation worked at the initial stage due to the protective Cr-rich layer formed in air gas. After a long time exposure in steam, the pre-oxidation influence decreased slowly and eventually disappeared. What’s more, the adhesion property of oxide scale was improved by pre-oxidation.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of Sp-pseudo almost periodicity on time scales and present some basic properties of it, including the translation invariance, uniqueness of decomposition, completeness and composition theorem. Moreover, we prove the seemingly simple but nontrivial result that pseudo almost periodicity implies Stepanov-like pseudo almost periodicity. As an application of the abstract results, we present some existence and uniqueness results on the pseudo almost periodic solutions of dynamic equations with delay.

Sodium oxalate (Na2C2O4) is an excellent phosphorus-free agent, but in sodium oxalate-containing detergents with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), significant ash deposition occurs on cotton fabrics. SDBS is the main anionic surfactant in modern detergents and cotton fiber is the most commonly used textile fiber. In this study, sodium lignosulfonate (LS) was investigated for its ability to prevent redeposition in SDBS-Na2C2O4-CMC-LS formulations. The effects of LS on ash content, whiteness, optimum washing temperature, calcium oxalate morphology, zeta potential and surface tension were carefully analyzed. The results showed that the addition of LS significantly improved the prevention of ash deposits on cotton fibers. The ash content was less than 0.46%and a small amount of particles were scattered on the cotton fibers. LS showed good dispersibility but had little effect on the washing power and zeta-potential. In this work, we have investigated the washing performance of sodium oxalate-based detergents containing different enzymes (protease, lipase and cellulase). The results show that sodium oxalate-based detergents with enzymes have a better washing performance than formulations containing the conventional builder STPP and zeolite 4A. For sodium oxalate-based with protease, the amount of sodium oxalate and protease have a significant effect on the detergency. Lipase can improve detergency of sodium oxalate-based detergents after "first washing" in the presence of different anionic surfactant (LAS, MES and AES). In this paper, we introduce a concept of piecewise weighted pseudo almost periodic functions on a Banach space and present the essential properties of this kind of functions, including the composition theorems and the uniqueness of decomposition of the functions. As an application, we give some results on the existence and stability of piecewise weighted pseudo almost periodic mild solutions to an abstract impulsive differential equation. Aluminum nitride thin films with (100) orientation are necessary, as they are applied to surface acoustic wave devices. In this paper, A1N (100) nano thin films have been successfully deposited on Si (111) substrates using reactive magnetron sputtering. The films have been characterized by X-ray diffraction to determine their crystalline preferential orientation. The result shows that the experimental parameters including sputtering pressure, N2 concentration, target power and the distance from target to substrate (D) obviously affected crystal orientation of A1N thin films. It is found that the relationship between the mean free path of Al atoms and the distance D is important factor for the orientation of the A1N films.
