Die dokumentarische Methode ist bezüglich der ihr zugrunde liegenden Metatheorie gut auf Felder wie Generationen oder Milieus abgestimmt, was ihr dort besonders valide Analysen ermöglicht. Gerade im Fall formaler Organisationen sind soziale Praxen jedoch nur bedingt auf konjunktive Erfahrungsräume zurückzuführen. Vielmehr bekommen hier auch explizite Wissensbestände und Praxen zwischen unterschiedlichen Wissensräumen eine hohe Bedeutung. In diesem Beitrag wird im Anschluss an Gotthard GÜNTHER eine metatheoretische Konzeption für rekonstruktive Forschung in organisationalen Settings entwickelt. Soziale Praxis wird hier als das Prozessieren unterschiedlicher latenter und manifester Wissensbestände mit- und gegeneinander gefasst. Mit den Begriffen der Kontextur und der transjunktionalen Operation wird eine schlanke, aber gleichzeitig hoch abstrakte Metatheorie vorgeschlagen, die eine Analyse dieser Prozesse ermöglicht. Niklas LUHMANN ist bekannt für seine bewusste Abwendung von handelnden Akteuren hin zu deren interaktiver Verbundenheit durch sogenannte autopoietische Kommunikationssysteme (LUHMANN 1994, 1990). Neben dem Gewinn einer neuen Beobachtungsperspektive stellt sich in der Auseinandersetzung mit diesem Ansatz jedoch immer auch die Frage nach dessen method(olog)ischer Umsetzbarkeit im Rahmen sozial- und managementwissenschaftlicher Forschung. Der vorliegende Beitrag versucht, diese Frage anhand einer konkreten qualitativen Methode zu beantworten. Ziel ist es, die Sinngehalte sozialer Systeme und den damit verbundenen Prozess der Verfertigung bzw. Aufrechterhaltung entsprechender Inhalte methodisch, d.h. systematisch und für Dritte nachvollziehbar, festzuhalten. Als zentrale Untersuchungseinheit wird die Gruppe in den Fokus des Interesses genommen. Mit der Erhebungsmethode der Gruppendiskussion (LOOS & SCHÄFFER 2005; BOHNSACK 1999) und der Auswertungsmethode der "dokumentarischen Methode" (BOHNSACK 2003) wird ein möglicher Zugang zu den von Niklas LUHMANN beschriebenen selbst-referenziellen Kommunikationsstrukturen skizziert. In contrast to the gain of a new perspective of observation his focus on autopoietic systems is simultaneously its biggest methodological obstacle for the use in social and management sciences. The present contribution considers the above shift on a theoretical level and with a specific qualitative method. It argues for a deeper understanding of systemic sense making and its enactment in a systematic and comprehensible way. Central to this approach is its focus on groups. Using group discussions as the method of data collection, and the "documentary method" by Ralf BOHNSACK (2003) as a method of data analysis, the article describes a methodologically grounded way to record the self-referential systems proposed by LUHMANN's system theory. The theoretical considerations of the paper are illustrated by empirical vignettes derived from a research project conducted in Switzerland concerning the social responsibility of business. En contraste con el beneficio de una nueva perspectiva de observación, su enfoque sobre los sistemas autopoiéticos es simultáneamente su mayor obstáculo para ser usado en las ciencias sociales y de la gestión. Esta contribución considera el citado movimiento desde un plano teórico, empleando un método cualitativo específico. Se propone lograr un entendimiento más profundo de la generación sistemática de sentido y los procesos subyacentes para su promulgación de un modo sistemático y comprehensivo. Lo central de este enfoque es que está focalizado en los grupos. Empleando discusiones de grupos como método de recopilación de datos y el "método del documental" de Ralf BOHNSACK (2003) como método analítico, el artículo describe una vía metodológicamente fundada para recoger los sistemas de auto-referenciales propuestos en la teoría de sistemas de Niklas LUHMANN. Netzwerke, in denen Personen kooperieren, um im Schulsystem nachhaltige Schul- und Professionalitätsentwicklung zu initiieren und zu etablieren, werden seit Ende der 1990er Jahre zunehmend aufgebaut. Netzwerke sind meist interessiert, sich auszuweiten, um möglichst viele Lehrende in Innovationen einzubeziehen. Steuergruppen stellen das operative Zentrum von Netzwerken dar. Sie übernehmen die Koordination und Organisation der Schulentwicklungsinitiativen eines Netzwerks und dienen als solche u.a. als Schnittstelle zwischen den bereits kooperierenden und potenziell neuen Mitgliedern. Bislang gibt es jedoch kaum Erkenntnisse darüber, wie die Steuergruppenmitglieder diesen Vermittlungsprozess gestalten und woran sie sich dabei orientieren. In diesem Beitrag soll an diesem Forschungsdesiderat angesetzt werden, indem die von Steuergruppenmitgliedern formulierten Zugangsmöglichkeiten zum Netzwerk untersucht werden, die im Rahmen einer qualitativ angelegten Studie mithilfe problemzentrierter Interviews erhoben wurden. Die Befragungen wurden im Winter 2007/8 im Rahmen der österreichischen Regionalen Netzwerke, einer von vier Maßnahmen eines landesweiten Projekts zur Stärkung des mathematisch-naturwissenschaftlichen Unterrichts, durchgeführt. Drei unterschiedlich ausgestaltete Vermittlungsprozesse, die sich im Spannungsfeld von Sach- und Schulstrukturorientierung einerseits und den Vorstellungen zu inhaltlichen Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschieden innerhalb des Netzwerks andererseits bewegen, konnten aus den Interviews generiert werden. Die drei rekonstruierten Typen von Zugangsmöglichkeiten – sachlich-homogen, sachlich-heterogen und bürokratisch-homogen – die durch sogenannte Distinktionen, d.h. habituell vorgenommene Bewertungsformen, realisiert werden, werden anhand von Fallbeispielen illustriert und miteinander kontrastiert. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs1003234, School networks—defined as people cooperating in order to initiate and emphasize school and professional development—have been established in German speaking areas since the beginning of the 1990s. One of their common goals is to raise the number of their active members. This purpose is connected to the idea of incorporating as many teachers as possible into possible innovations of the network. Steering committees are the operation centers of these kinds of school networks. They coordinate and organize the school and professional development initiatives of a network. Therefore, steering committees link existing members and potentially new ones. Thus far, little is known about how steering committee members organize entrance into their networks. Taking this issue as a starting point, this article focuses on the ideas and concepts of admission processes between existing steering committee members and new ones from the perspective of steering committee members. The data is taken from a qualitative study that was done by interviewing steering committee members of the Austrian "Regionale Netzwerke" [regional networks] in the winter 2007–2008. These regional networks are one out of four groups in a nationwide project that have the goal of strengthening natural sciences and mathematics in Austrian schools. Three different types of admission modes to networks have been identified among fourteen interviewed steering committee members. These modes are situated within the field of common school structure and content of the network and the understanding of homogenous or diverse perspectives in the network. The three reconstructed types of entering modes—content-homogenous, content-diverse and bureaucratically-homogenous—are defined by distinctions that are conceptualized here as habitual practices. All identified types are illustrated with excerpts from the interviews and are compared with each other. On the basis of these findings, concluding perspectives are discussed—both for further investigations and for the practical use of networks as a school development strategy. Los comités directivos son los centros de operación de esta clase de redes escolares. Ellos coordinan y organizan las iniciativas de desarrollo escolar y profesional de una red. Además, los comités directivos vinculan miembros existentes y potenciales. Sin embargo, poco se sabe acerca de cómo los miembros de los comités directivos organizan el ingreso a sus redes. Tomando este tema como punto de partida, el artículo se enfoca sobre las ideas y conceptos de los procesos de admisión entre miembros de comités directivos existentes y nuevos desde la perspectiva de los miembros de los comités directivos. Se toman los datos de un estudio cualitativo realizado al entrevistar a miembros del comité directivo de la Red Regional Austriaca en el verano 2007-2008. Estas redes regionales son uno de los cuatro grupos en un proyecto nacional que ha tenido la meta de fortalecer las ciencias naturales y las matemáticas en las escuelas austriacas. Se han identificado tres diferentes tipos de modos de admisión a la red entre catorce miembros del comité directivo. Estos modos sitúan entre el campo de la estructura común escolar y el contenido de la red y la comprensión de las perspectivas diversas u homogéneas en la red. Los tres tipos reconstruidos de modos de ingreso – contenido homogéneo, contenido diverso y homogéneo burocráticamente – son definidos mediante distinciones que se conceptualizan aquí como prácticas habituales. Todos los tipos identificados se ilustran con extractos de las entrevistas y se comparan entre ellos. The considerable progress in qualitative methods is directly connected with developments in the field of text-interpretation. On the basis of a thorough reconstruction of their formal structures texts are treated as autonomous domains of self-referential systems. Such a methodological status has been denied to pictures in empirical research in the field of social sciences up until now. The documentary method, based on Karl MANNHEIM's Sociology of Knowledge, opens up methodical access to pictures. Methodologies from art history (PANOFSKY, IMDAHL) can thus become relevant for empirical research in social sciences. Connections to semiotics (BARTHES, ECO) and philosophy (FOUCAULT) are worked out in their consequences for qualitative methods. Thus verbal contextual and pre-knowledge can be controlled methodically in the documentary interpretation of pictures. The reconstruction of formal structure of pictures becomes of central importance in analysis. All of this will be demonstrated by examples from research practice. El método documental parece especialmente adecuado para la prevención de posibles etnocentrismos en la interpretación de los datos en la investigación reconstructiva, así como para excluir las concesiones a un concepto estadístico y normativo de cultura. Como una ilustración de tal tesis, en este artículo se presenta el estudio realizado en la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Bremen, en el que se analizan los efectos de un programa de contacto intercultural entre los estudiantes internacionales y las familias alemanas. Se hace especial hincapié en la cuestión de los cambios cognitivos y emocionales de los estudiantes, llamados procesos educativos ("Bildung") en la ciencias de la educación. Se presentan ejemplos de los resultados y los antecedentes teóricos y metodológicos del estudio. The documentary method appears to be especially suitable for preventing possible ethnocentrisms in the interpretation of data in reconstructive research, as well as for precluding concessions with a statistic and normative cultural concept. As an illustration of this thesis, this article presents a study—undertaken at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences—in which the effects of an intercultural contact programme between international students and German families are analysed. Special emphasis is placed on the question of the students' emotional and cognitive changes, called educational processes ("Bildung") in the educational science. The theoretical and methodological background of the study and exemplary results are presented. Die dokumentarische Methode erscheint besonders geeignet, um möglichen Ethnozentrismen in der Interpretation von Daten in der rekonstruktiven Forschung sowie den Einschränkungen durch ein statisches und normatives Kultur-Konzept vorzubeugen. Zur Erläuterung dieser These stellt der vorliegende Beitrag eine Untersuchung der Hochschule Bremen vor, in der die Auswirkungen eines Begegnungsprogramms zwischen internationalen Studierenden und deutschen Patenfamilien untersucht wird. Insbesondere geht es hier um die Frage nach emotionalen und kognitiven Veränderungen der Studierenden, wie sie die Erziehungswissenschaft mit dem Konzept "Bildung" fasst. Es werden der theoretische und methodologische Hintergrund und exemplarische Ergebnisse der Studie vorgestellt.
