The Chinese government has increased its security measures at its airports, on top of plans being implemented for the Olympic Games in August, in response to an attempt to crash a domestic flight. The European Parliament has supported proposals to increase the tax on diesel in the region to match that of unleaded petrol and prevent fuel terrorism. Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin said that he will step aside from his position amid corruption investigation in Thailand.
