Objective To investigate the incidence and related factors of postoperative complications in acoustic neuroma patients. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with acoustic neuroma underwent microsurgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2018 to September 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. Results In this data, dizziness(66.7%), hearing impairment(58.3%), and facial paralysis(32.3%) were the most common postoperative complications. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage(10.4%) was a serious complication after acoustic neuroma surgery. Tumor size, operation time, tumor recurrence, and eradicate the mastoid process were independent risk factors of the cerebrospinal fluid leakage(all P<0.05). The incidence of intracranial infections(8.3%) was related to operative time and cerebrospinal fluid leakage(all P<0.05). Conclusion Microsurgery is effective in the treatment of acoustic schwannoma. The prevention and treatment of these risk factors in perioperative period is efficient to the prognosis of patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
