- Abstract
The Bund area is the wandering reach of the Yellow River in Ningxia. Gabion cage is set on the right bank of the river to protect the Bund scenic spot. However, the wire fracture accelerates the erosion of the underwater root stone. In order to study the development of the river regime after the instability of the reach and monitor the deformation of the bank in the vulnerable area after the installation of bank protection works, the hydrodynamics elements of 24 preset typical cross sections were measured by RiverCAT and other instruments, and the river erosion and deposition were analyzed by topographic cross section method. The results show that the underwater terrain of the river channel is low on the left and high on the right. From June 2018 to March 2019, the right bank is protected by bank protection, the shoreline is basically stable and the riverbed is silted near the bank. Severely, the left bank scours seriously and the bank collapses. The shape of the section along the course evolves from W-shape to V-shape. The flow field of the cross-section of the river section basically faces the left bank, and no spiral movement is formed. The deposition volume is 56 940 m~3 and the average deposition thickness is 1.20 m. Therefore, the underwater root rock of the revetment can effectively prevent the scouring and cutting of the riverbank, but it will cause siltation to a certain extent, and the siltation work should be done well.
