To systematically analyze space-time coupling rules of coal mine gas accidents in China from 2010 to 2018, this paper analyzes the gas accidents in coal mine from time, space, gas types, accident types and so on. Through the analysis of the data, the results show that the most probable time to have gas accidents is from 11:00 to 12:00 a.m., tunneling working faces are the most possible scene of gas accidents, the highest prone of having gas accidents is that gas explosion accidents occupy the largest proportion of all the accidents in coal and gas outburst mines. The accidents are given in the form of code, so that strong association rules can be found in many association rules about accidents. And the most frequent item sets can be found after the introduction of Apriori algorithm, that is, emphasis should be placed on the prevention of gas explosion accident caused by illegal blasting in the tunneling working face of low gas mine in December.
