The interaction of preincubated ram sperm with zona-free hamster oocytes was studied by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The behaviour of the sperm cells was quite different, depending on whether the acrosomal reaction had taken place or not. The apical ridge of intact spermatozoa contacted the oocyte surface, and egg microvilli spread onto the anterior segment but no fusion ensued. When the acrosomal cap was fenestrated, microvilli were also found on its surface but were then spread over the surface of the postacrosomal region and the equatorial segment of the sperm head lying flat on the egg surface; fusion with the oocyte occurred in the equatorial segment and extended to the postacrosomal region. Contacts between the microvilli and the inner acrosomal membrane were infrequent and no fusion occurred in the anterior segment. These observations confirm that local changes in the adhesiveness and fusibility of the sperm plasma surface occurred during the acrosome reaction.

The process of cumulus mucification in pig preovulatory follicles was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The localization of extracellular material and changes in the granulosa cell surface were observed at 0, 16, 20 and 40 h after hCG injection. At 0 h the pig oocyte cumulus complex was closely attached to the parietal layer of granulosa cells. Cumulus and parietal granulosa cells had microvilli and cytoplasmic projections connecting neighbouring cells. The network of extracellular amorphous material was observed for the first time at 16 h after hCG around the cells that formed a stalk between the parietal granulosa and the cumulus oophorus. At 20 h after hCG, the intercellular matrix was thicker and extended to almost all the cumulus oophorus surface; when visible, cells were often covered by blebs and ruffling membranes. All oocytes examined by light microscopy at 16 and 20 h after hCG were at the germinal vesicle stage with condensing bivalents. Therefore, it was concluded that oocyte nuclear maturation started at the same time that a mucified peduncle was forming between the cumulus oophorus and the parietal granulosa. Shortly before ovulation (40 h after hCG) the matrix material filled all intercellular spaces and mucification had extended to the corona cell layer and the zona pellucida surface.

On fait une étude critique, valable pour la Belgique et l'Est de la France, de l'incidence des conditions climatiques sur l'utilisation domestique de l'énergie solaire. A partir des enregistrements énergétiques du rayonnement global analysé sur une douzaine d'années on observe une constance remarquable du global moyen journalier par mois. Par contre le global journalier durant un mois quelconque est une grandeur essentiellement fluctuante avec des écarts pouvant dépasser plus de 5 fois la valeur la plus faible. La qualité énergétique du jour peut être appréciée en se fixant sur le global entre 11 h et 12 h (TSV). On examine ensuite les performances possibles d'un capteur plan utilisant l'effet de serre en thermostatique puis en thermocinétique. On évalue enfin les besoins nécessaires au chauffage d'une habitation et on fait le bilan des perspectives ouvertes dans ce domaine par l'emploi du rayonnement solaire.

Après avoir tracé dans une précédente publication [4] le réseau (1/ T, Log P) du couple frigorigène CaCl2-NH3 pour diverses concentrations en ammoniac, nous soumettons le binaire, par simulation, à des conditions thermiques que lui imposerait le rayonnement solaire. Nous examinons ainsi la dissociation isotherme du matériau durant cinq heures correspondant à l'ensoleillement diurne, puis sa régénération à l'ambiante, associée à son comportement nocturne. Des considérations cinétiques et énergétiques permettent d'interpréter l'expérience.

The influence of various annealings on the magnetization of a partially disordered Ni 91 P 9 alloy has been investigated. The magnetic moment σ* 0,0 and the Curie temperature T c are found to vary linearly with the annealing temperature T a up to T a =523 K and the alloy behaves like a weak ferromagnet. With T a >573 K, the (200) reflexion of the f.c.c. nickel appears in the X-ray patterns and a sharp increase in T c and σ* 0,0 is observed. These results agree with previous thermomagnetic data which showed the alloy to be completely crystallized in a mixture of pure nickel and Ni 3 P alloy after heating to T a =773 K. Anomalous thermal variation of the magnetization is observed below 50 K, as previously observed by other researchers Influence de differents recuits sur l'aimantation d'un alliage partiellement desordonne Ni 91 P 9 . Lorsque T a devient egale ou superieure a 573 K on observe sur les diagrammes de rayons X la raie (200) du nickel ainsi qu'une brusque augmentation du moment magnetique et de T c

Les films de nickel-phosphore obtenus par oxydoreduction, en phase liquide a des temperatures inferieures a 100 °C, sont imparfaitement cristallises.Un recuit sous vide classique conduit, au-dela de 300 °C, a une cristallisation progressive des phosphures de nickel et du nickel.Les modifications structurales se traduisent par une augmentation de la conductivite electrique et du coefficient de temperature des resistances.L’adsorption d’hydrogene entraine une variation de la resistance electrique liee a la structure de la matiere.

L'augmentation importante de la conductivite electrique resultant du recuit de l'alliage Ni — P nous conduit a envisager quatre etapes dans l'evolution de la structure du materiau. Une etude aux rayons X, microscope electronique et au diffracteur d'electrons permet d'interpreter chacune de ces transformations et de considerer dans l'alliage initial la presence d'une phase transitoire metastable microcristallisee.
