Abstract The QASR gas field lies in the northern part of Shushan-Matrouh Basin (northern part of the Western Desert). Jurassic (Lower Safa)/Paleozoic are a reservoir rocks, in which the gas is trapped in clastic Sandstone, depending on structural framework affecting it. The QASR field structure is one of the most complex structures in the Western Desert of Egypt. The Jurassic (Lower Safa) and Paleozoic formations are consists of sandstone, siltstone with some shale streaks, indicating shallow marine facies, its sequence may reach a maximum thickness of over 900 ft in the northeastern part of Shushan-Matrouh basin. The combination between well logs data and 3D seismic interpretation represent that the Jurassic (Lower Safa)/Paleozoic form a complex horst block, which is bounded by NE-SW trending deep-seated faults, with throws is excess of 300 ft. The migration of hydrocarbons into the QASR structure could either be laterally from source rocks that occur in the Shushan basin to the west, and vertically from the sub-basin to the north via the QASR-OZORIS bounding fault. Time and depth-structural maps of Jurassic (Lower Safa)/Paleozoic describe various structure aspects that play a vital role in the hydrocarbon potentialities and prospect identification in the area. One incipient element of exploration and development success is to detect the faults that provide structural closure and traps. Two major faults run in the NE-SW direction and configurator a manner of horst and graben blocks. In addition, NWSW trending faults cut these blocks and form a right-lateral strike-slip component of displacement. The use of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with chronic total occlusion (CTO) is still a subject of debate, with conflicting outcomes reported in different studies when compared to non-CTO lesions. This meta-analysis aims to clarify the clinical outcomes of PCI in CTO cases compared to non-CTO lesions, both in the short and long-term. PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Ovid, and Cochrane Central were searched until March 2023 for relevant studies addressing short- and long-term outcomes of PCI in CTO vs non-CTO lesions. Dichotomous data were pooled as odds ratio (OR) with its 95% confidence interval (CI) in a random Der-Simonian lair effect model using STATA 17 MP. Eight studies with a total of 690,123 patients were included. In terms of short-term outcomes, CTO PCI was associated with higher rates of vessel perforation (OR = 2.16, 95% CI: 1.31-3.57) and cardiac tamponade (OR = 5.19, 95% CI: 4.29-6.28). Additionally, CTO PCI showed lower rates of procedural success (OR = 0.84, 95% CI: 0.73-0.96). Moreover, in the long-term, CTO PCI had higher rates of MACE (OR = 1.02, 95% CI: 1.01-1.04), however, it showed lower rates of cardiac death (OR = 0.61, 95% CI: 0.38-0.98), with no significant difference in other reported outcomes. Our findings underscore the challenges and adverse outcomes associated with using PCI to treat CTO lesions in the short term. This suggests that interventional cardiologists should carefully evaluate the risks and benefits before proceeding with PCI in CTO lesions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Nile Delta basin is a hydrocarbon rich province that has hydrocarbon accumulations generated from biogenic and thermogenic source rocks and trapped in a clastic channel reservoirs ranging in age from Pliocene to Early Cretaceous. Currently, the offshore Nile Delta is the most active exploration and development province in Egypt. The main challenge of the studied area is that we have only one well in a channel system exceeds fifteen km length, where seismic reservoir characterization is used to de-risk development scenarios for the field by discriminating between gas sand, water sand and shale. Extracting the gas-charged geobody from the seismic data is magnificent input for 3D reservoir static modelling. Seismic data, being non-stationary in nature, have varying frequency content in time. Spectral decomposition analysis unravels the seismic signal into its initial constituent frequencies. Frequency decomposition of a seismic signal aims to characterize the time-dependent frequency response of subsurface rocks and reservoirs for imaging and mapping of bed thickness, geologic discontinuities and channel connectivity. Inversion feasibility study using crossplot between P-wave impedance (Ip) and S-wave impedance (Is) which derived from well logs (P-wave velocity, S-wave velocity and density) is applied to investigate which inversion type would be sufficient enough to discriminate between gas sand, water sand and shale. Integration between spectral analysis, inversion results and Ip vs. Is crossplot cutoffs help to generate 3D lithofacies cubes, which used to extract gas sand and water sand geobodies, which is extremely wonderful for constructing facies depositional static model in area with unknown facies distribution and sand connectivity. [•] The method relies on reaction of alkanals with (2,2′-furil) to form highly fluorescent difurylimidazole derivatives and then these derivatives were separated by HPLC. Felodipine (FLD), a calcium channel antagonist, is commonly prescribed for the treatment of hypertension either with Metoprolol (MET) or Ramipril (RAM) in two different drug combinations. FLD has high plasma protein binding ability affecting its extraction recoveries from plasma samples. Hence, a specific ultrasound assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (UA-DLLME) method coupled with HPLC using photodiode array detector was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of FLD, MET and RAM in rat plasma after oral administration of these combinations. The factors affecting UA-DLLME were carefully optimized. In this study, UA-DLLME method could provide simple and efficient plasma extraction procedures with superior recovery results. Under optimum condition, all target drugs were separated within 13 min. The validation procedures was carried out in agreement with US-FDA guidelines and shown to be suitable for anticipated purposes. Linear calibration ranges were obtained in the range 0.05–2.0 μg mL −1 for FLD and MET and 0.1–2.0 μg mL −1 for RAM with detection limits of 0.013–0.031 μg mL −1 for all the studied drug combinations. The%RSD for inter-day and intra-day precisions was in range of 0.63–3.85% and the accuracy results were in the range of 92.13–100.5%. The validated UA-DLLME-HPLC method was successfully applied for the bioavailability studies of FLD, MET and RAM. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated for all the investigated drugs in rats after single-dose administrations of two different drug combinations. Although FLD was bioequivalent in the two formulations, a small increase in plasma levels of MET and RAM was found in the presence of FLD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
