Numerous developments in additive manufacturing have endowed triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structures with excellent mechanical properties, providing possibilities for the wide application prospects of such scaffolds in repairing bone defects. However, current studies mainly focus on the basic mechanical and biomedical properties of TMPS with relatively large scale and low precision made from conventional materials such as stainless powder. Therefore, challenges exist in manufacturing ceramic-based TPMS bone scaffolds that stratify the precision requirements for human bones at the micron scale and further investigating their dynamic mechanical properties. Herein, we successfully design and fabricate two TPMS scaffolds named TPMS-B and TPMS-C with microstructures similar to that of human bone utilizing advanced 3D-printing technology. The experiments reveal that TPMS-C outperforms conventional porous scaffold (Normal-A) and TPMS-B for certain parameters such as specific strength and specific energy absorption. Moreover, the numerical simulation analysis illustrates that structural asymmetry and discontinuous boundaries are the main causes of completely destructive disparities in TPMS-C when exposed to given loads. Meanwhile, the cytocompatibility and osteogenic differentiation of the three scaffolds are verified. The liquid alkali decomposition method represents a relatively clean smelting process for the treatment of the mixed rare earth concentrate derived from Bayan Obo. However, the production process generates a considerable quantity of alkaline wastewater, which presents a significant obstacle to the large-scale application of this process. Accordingly, the reduction and high-value treatment of rare earth alkaline wastewater represents a pressing need and challenge. This paper presents a novel approach to the treatment of rare earth alkaline wastewater, which has the potential to revolutionize the way such wastewater is handled. The proposed method involves a series of processes, including mineral phase transformation, ultrasonic enhanced water washing, causticization treatment, and glass preparation. These processes not only reduced the volume of alkaline wastewater by over 50% compared to traditional treatment methods, but challenged the conventional wisdom surrounding the treatment of alkaline wastewater, resulted in the conversion of NaF, Na 3 PO 4 , and Na 2 CO 3 into a mixed calcium salt, which contains CaF 2 , Ca 3 (PO 4) 2 , and CaCO 3. And the mixed calcium salt can then employed in the preparation of high-performance glass. This process not only circumvents the deficiencies associated with the low purity and value of the final product when NaF, Na 3 PO 4 , and Na 2 CO 3 are separated individually, but it also allows for the reuse of the generated NaOH, thereby achieving high-value utilization of the alkaline wastewater. Ionic conductive elastomers with high sensitivity, good mechanical property, shape memory and antioxidant capacity are of great significance in flexible smart wearable devices, but remains a challenge. Here we designed a series of degradable elastomers based on hexamethylene diisocyanate crosslinked poly(polycaprolactone citric acid)–co-dopamine (PCD) and 4, 4′-diaminodiphenyldisulfide with excellent mechanical property, shape memory property and antioxidation, and the ionic liquid is further introduced into elastomer leading to ionic conductive elastomer. The elastomer with 10 % 4, 4′-diaminodiphenyldisulfide shows tensile strain of 829 % and tensile stress of 5.48 MPa. After introducing 10 % ionic liquid, the ionic conductive elastomer's conductivity increases to 1.18 × 10-6 S/cm while still maintaining 580 % break elongation. The elastomers can maintain good stability after cyclic stress–strain test and show high strain sensitivity to small deformation in joint motion signal monitoring. In addition, the elastomers have good shape memory property, cytocompatibility and in vivo biocompatibility. The mechanical response of elastomers was studied by employing the Mooney-Rivlin hyperelastic model. Further comparative analysis shows that the local stress concentration is the main factor leading to the failure of the elastomer. The ionic conductive elastomers with good conductivity, sensing sensitivity, mechanical strength and antioxidation are promising in the field of flexible wearable devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
