The utilization of transfer learning enables effective realization of the transferability of aero-engine fault diagnosis models across disparate states. However, the gradual degradation of engine performance and the complex and variable flight states lead to continuous changes in data distribution. The common transfer learning methods employ discrete divisions of data domain distributions, which are insufficient to cope with the continuous changes of the domain. To accomplish transfer learning towards a continuous and multi-dimensional target domain, we propose a continuous domain distribution adversarial network (CDDAN) based on deep domain adversarial network. The method defines the number of effective cycles directly associated with engine degradation as a continuous domain index. When the domain index is extended to multiple dimensions, a hybrid gaussian model is introduced to represent distribution prediction within multi-dimensional continuous domains. Subsequently, we validate the feasibility and superiority of our method using datasets generated based on twin-spool turbofan engines. In comparison to other transfer learning methods, the proposed method achieves superior effect in continuous domain adaptation. The experimental results demonstrate that this method exhibits adaptability to failures in the diagnosis method caused by performance degradation and changes in flight state of the aero engine, while remaining independent of target domain data annotation. The influence of gun barrel erosion has been proposed, but the research on the wear behavior of gun steel during the initial extrusion phase remains limited. This study employed an experimental approach to investigate the wear of 30CrNi2MoVA gun steel after untreated (25 °C) and thermal cycling treatments (400 °C and 800 °C) under both air and simulated seawater environments. In the air environment, abrasive wear and adhesive wear mechanisms were prominently observed. In the simulated seawater, abrasive wear mechanism was predominant. In both environments, the surface morphology and wear profiles of the untreated samples were similar, exhibiting a negative interaction phenomenon. After thermal cycling treatment, the corrosion wear resistance of 30CrNi2MoVA steel were significantly reduced. Among them, the material performance is the lowest at 800 °C. Therefore, this study provides theoretical and experimental evidence for improving the friction and wear performance of gun barrel rifling during the bullet extrusion process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The objective of this study was to evaluate the association between asymptomatic unruptured intracranial aneurysms (IAs) and pituitary adenomas (PAs) in Chinese people. In total, 434 patients with newly diagnosed PA and 252 control subjects from the general population who underwent brain computed tomography angiography examination were included. The incidence of IAs and the location of IAs in patients with PA were compared with those in control subjects. The patients with PA with IA were compared with the patients without IA to identify the risk factors for an increased incidence of IA. The coexistence of PA and IA was found in 36 patients (8.3%), whereas IAs were found in only 2.4% of the general control subjects, resulting in a significant difference. After stratifying by age, the prevalence of IAs among the patients with PA was still higher than that among the general control subjects in the 5th decade (P = 0.023) and 6th decade (P = 0.035). Most IAs (66.7%) were located in the internal carotid artery, and the location of the IAs did not differ between the patients with PA and the general population. The stepwise multivariate logistic regression indicated that age (P = 0.004) and cavernous sinus invasion (P = 0.022) were related to an increased prevalence of IAs in patients with PA. However, hormone type and sex were not significantly associated with IA prevalence. The patients with PA have an increased incidence of IA compared with age-matched control subjects. Electro-osmosis has been well recognized as a technique for the remediation of petroleum-contaminated soil, however seasonally freezing and thawing adds the complexity of petroleum mobility in cold regions. To investigate the influence of freeze-thaw on the electroosmotic removal of petroleum and explore the enhancement of freeze-thaw on the electroosmotic remediation efficiency in remediating the petroleum-contaminated soils, a set of laboratory tests were performed in three types of treatment modes, freeze-thaw (FT), electro-osmosis (EO) and freeze-thaw combined electro-osmosis (FE). The petroleum redistributions as well as the moisture content changes after the treatments were evaluated and compared. The petroleum removal rates of the three treatments were analyzed, and the underlying mechanisms were elaborated. The results indicated that the overall efficiency of the treatment mode regarding petroleum removal from soil followed the order of FE > EO > FT, corresponding to 54%, 36% and 21% in maximum, respectively. A considerable amount of water solution with surfactant was driven into contaminated soil during FT process, but the petroleum mobilization primarily occurred inside of the specimen. A higher remediation efficiency was yield in EO mode, but the induced dehydration and cracks leaded to the dramatical depression in the efficiency in further process. It is proposed that the petroleum removal is closely related to the flow of water solution with surfactant that is favorable to the solubility and mobilization of the petroleum in soil. Thus, the water migration induced by freeze-thaw cycles substantially improved the efficiency of the electroosmotic remediation in FE mode that gave the best performance for the remediation of the petroleum-contaminated soil. Linear dextrin aggregates (LDAs) were prepared in the current study as novel material for encapsulating docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The high amylose corn starch was acid hydrolyzed and enzymically debranched into LDAs of varied chain length distributions (CLDs). Results showed that the encapsulation efficiency of microcapsules significantly increased from 68% to 81% correspondingly with the improved content of the intermediate linear dextrin (degree of polymerization, DP, ranges 10– 100). Meanwhile, the peroxide value was also showed a decrease of 2 mEq/kg during the storage. Molecular dynamic simulations further revealed that the linear dextrin with DP of 15 showed the highest interaction attraction while being encapsulated with DHA. The hypothesis is thus verified since the LDA with a specific CLD favors the formation of starch-based DHA microcapsules with better performance. When LDAs contained 22% intermediate linear dextrin, microcapsules showed the highest encapsulation efficiency (85%) and the lowest peroxide value (10 mEq/kg). The study aimed to explore the recent efficacy of oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) combined with Wiltse approach pedicle screw fixation in the treatment of single-level degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS). This is a retrospective study. The study enrolled 54 patients with single-level DLS who were treated at the Affiliated Jiangnan Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from May 2018 to June 2020. (OLIF group) 24 cases operated using OLIF combined with Wiltse approach pedicle screw fixation, and (PLIF group) 30 cases operated by PLIF. The primary outcome measures were visual analog scale (VAS) pain scores, Oswestry dysfunction index (ODI), and the lower lumbar spine anterior convexity angle. There were significant differences in VAS (2.63 ± 0.58 vs. 3.57 ± 0.63, P < 0.001) and ODI (9.67 ± 0.92 vs. 10.63 ± 1.40, P < 0.05) between the OLIF group and PLIF group on postoperative 3 days. And there was a significant decrease in VAS (2.63 ± 0.58 vs. 1.08 ± 0.28, P < 0.05) and ODI (3.57 ± 0.63 vs. 1.10 ± 0.31, P < 0.05) in both groups on postoperative 3 days and at 6 months postoperative comparisons. OLIF group showed better intervertebral space height and the lower lumbar spine anterior convexity angle scores on postoperative 3 days and 6 months, the difference was statistically significant(all P < 0.05). OLIF combined with the Wiltse approach pedicle screw fixation can achieve good short-term clinical results in the treatment of single-level DLS. Pine-mushrooms is rich in bioactive compounds, possess a unique aroma profile for culinary art. In China, pine-mushroom has been produced in Southwest and Northeast area. However, the discrepancy of volatile profiles in pine-mushrooms from two regions was unclear due to different extraction and detection method applied in research. This study attempted to compare the volatile profiles of four pine-mushrooms from Southwest (LS) and Northeast (HEB, SY, MDJ) using Headspace Solid Phase Microextraction coupled with Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (HS-SPME/GC-MS) and Electronic nose (E-nose). Results showed a significant difference in aroma profiles among samples. A total of 100 volatile compounds were identified, and separated into 11 classes. Benzaldehyde and hexanal were detected in all samples, which could be the pivotal aroma components in pine-mushrooms. Aromatic components, were present in LS pine-mushroom from Southwest China, including abundant of methyl (Z)-N-hydroxybenzenecarboximidate, benzaldehyde, and methyl 3-phenylprop-2-enoate. Meanwhile, some alcohols (such as oct-1-en-3-ol, hexan-1-ol) were characteristic compounds present in HEB, SY and MDJ samples. Principal component analysis (PCA) of E-nose data showed a clear distinction among samples. In addition, this study also highlighted the correlation between key volatile compounds detected by GC-MS and E-nose sensors, which could be benefit for further explanation to the origin of differences in sensory quality of pine-mushrooms. Due to the highly environment-dependent biodegradation and uncontrolled degradation period, the long-run feasibility and effectiveness of biodegradable polymers are extensively questioned to solve plastics waste accumulation and pollution problems. This work physically incorporated lipase PS from Burkholderia cepacian on cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) and embedded it in polycaprolactone (PCL) to construct stable and controllable interfacial microenvironment between CNC and PCL for the reinforcement and controllable self-driven biodegradation. The physical adsorption of lipase PS on CNC was studied by monitoring the surface charge and particle size. FT-IR spectra confirmed the successful incorporation of lipase PS and CNC. Compared with CNC, protein-modified CNC had a higher maximum thermal decomposition temperature of 345 °C and lower interfacial tension of 11 mN/m with PCL which provided PCL composites with higher nucleation efficiency and tensile elongation of 1086 % at break. In addition, only 0.67 % embedded lipase PS completely hydrolyzed PCL membranes in <140 h. The post-compression molding at 80–100 °C had negligible influence on the lipase activity, which indicated that CNC could protect the lipase from inactivation in polymer extrusion and compression. High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) devices are promising high-power storage devices, although their widespread use is limited by their high capital and operating costs. This work investigates their inclusion in smart grids when used in tandem with hydrogen fuel cells and other energy storage devices using a novel two-stage model. The first stage presents a stochastic allocation algorithm to optimally size the smart grid assets with the maximum expected profit. The next stage models the time system evolution with these optimal capacities using a dynamic Monte Carlo model to investigate the system reliability, capacity credit and loss of load expectation. A novel energy management algorithm is also presented that maximises the time with which a fleet of energy storage devices can fulfil a stochastically unknown power request. The analysis shows that from a purely economic standpoint, HTS SMES and hydrogen energy do not achieve high penetration levels (up to 10 %) due to their high costs, although the penetration levels can be improved with higher power imbalance penalties in day ahead markets. The novel capacity credit and reliability investigation shows that they can improve the reliability and capacity credit of wind turbines by approximately 30 %, thereby improving potential wind penetration levels. Tumor-related viruses are known to be involved in initiation and progression of certain tumors. However, the relationship between virus and pituitary adenomas (PAs) remains unknown. Here, we investigated infection status of three types of viruses (HPV16, HHV6B and HSV1) and expression level of toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) in 60 human PA samples. We also determined the role of TLR3 signaling pathway on a PA cell line (GH3). We firstly found that positive rates of HPV16 and HHV6B infection were significantly higher in invasive PA samples than in noninvasive samples ( P < 0.01). Similarly, TLR3 mRNA and protein expression also increased in invasive PA samples ( P < 0.01). In vitro analysis indicated that GH3 cell proliferation and survival were enhanced by TLR3 activation, which was accompanied by NF-κB activation.
