This paper aims to study the significance of China's Industrial Structure Rationalization (ISR) in reducing carbon emissions. To this end, this study uses panel data from 30 Chinese province from 2000 to 2019 to measure the Industrial Structure Rationalization of each province by calculating the Thiel index, base on which a nonlinear autoregressive lagged distribution (NARDL-PMG) model is established to explore the impacts of industrial structure rationalization on carbon emissions. The results show that: (1) There still exist significant regional differences between Eastern and Central-Western regions in industrial structure as illustrated by the ISR index. The industrial structure in Eastern region is more rational; (2) In the long run, the carbon emission in China will drop when the industrial structure becomes more rational; (3) However, in the short run, the carbon emission in China will increase when the industrial structure becomes more rational. Besides the findings above, the major difference between this paper and the extant researches is that this paper pays attention to the relationship between industrial structure rationalization and environmental quality by investigating the asymmetric influences of industrial structure rationalization index's positive and negative shocks on carbon emission, which lays solid foundations for government aiming to set more detailed policies. • Focus on the impact of rationalization of industrial structure on CO2 emissions. • Focused on the linear relationship between industrial structure and carbon emissions. • Attempts to analyze three regional pairs from the East, Central and West regions. • Provide a reference for developing countries to achieve sustainable development. Objective: To comprehensively review the clinical manifestations, imaging, diagnosis, treatment, and pathologic features of primary intraosseous adenoid cystic carcinoma (PIACC) of the mandible and analyze PIACC histopathology and molecular features in four cases.Study Design: We reviewed the literature and retrospectively studied four cases of PIACC.Results: The clinical and imaging findings of PIACC are similar to other malignant or borderline-malignant mandible tumors. The four cases of PIACC included three males and one female (aged between 41 and 58 years). The histopathologic features of the tumors resembled those of ACC. We observed abundant osteoclasts resorbing bone at the leading edge of the tumors characterized by solid structure histology but not by the cribriform subtype. Additionally, all four cases showed abnormalities in the MYB gene and high expression of MYB protein. All patients survived for the duration of follow-up, and two patients had distant metastases (followed up for 3 to 36 months).Conclusions: PIACC is extremely rare and is often clinically misdiagnosed. Different histologic subtypes could show different mechanisms of invasion of the mandible. MYB gene and protein expression abnormalities can be used as indicators for the precise diagnosis of PIACC. The multi-principal AlCrNbSiTiON oxynitride coatings were deposited by pulsed arc ion plating under different oxygen flow. The structure and mechanical properties of the coatings were systematically investigated. The surface of all coatings is smooth and flat. The cross section is compact and smooth. The coatings transform from FCC solid solution crystal structure with (200) preferred orientation to amorphous/nanocrystalline nanocomposite structure with increasing oxygen flow. Upon increasing oxygen flow from 0 to 150 SCCM, their hardness decreases from 43.4 to 15.6 GPa. The hardness of the coatings increases to 26.4 GPa with increasing oxygen flow again. The Cr 2 O 3 oxides are formed on the surface of the coatings during the friction process. • The cross sections of all coatings are featureless and dense. • The coatings transform from FCC structure to amorphous/nanocrystalline structure. • The strengthening of amorphous/nanocrystalline structure leads to the increase of hardness. High entropy (AlCrNbSiTi)N hard coatings have been deposited by pulsed arc ion plating with various duty cycles. The effects of duty cycles on the morphology, chemical composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of coatings are studied. Higher duty cycles result in the increase of deposited particles and holes on the surface of the coatings. The coatings exhibited a single-phase face centered cubic structure with preferred orientation of (200). Appropriate duty cycle can significantly improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of the coatings. The coating exhibits highest hardness and elastic modulus of 43.4 GPa and 573.4 GPa, respectively. Formation of surface oxides during friction process are observed, which play a self-lubricating role. • The cross sections of all coatings are featureless and dense. • The coatings have typical single-phase B1–NaCl FCC solid solution crystal structure with (200) preferred orientation. • Coating deposited at 60 % duty cycle exhibits highest hardness of 43.4 GPa. Scaffolds are crucial for bone tissue engineering since their compositions and properties could significantly affect the seeded cells' behavior. In this study, we developed an interpenetrating network hydrogel by utilizing Ca 2+ from calcium silicate (CS) to simultaneously crosslink silk fibroin (SF) and sodium alginate (SA). Afterwards, the hydrogels were lyophilized to obtain scaffolds and systematically evaluated by physical characterizations, in vitro cytocompatibility and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) assay. We found that CS inside the porous structure of SF/CS/SA scaffolds could remarkably enhance hydrophilicity, degradation, compression resistance, bioactivity and pH of SF/CS/SA scaffolds. Scaffolds with CS concentrations of 25% and 12% (25/CS and 12/CS) could dominantly stimulate proliferation of bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs). Besides, BMSCs cultured with 25/CS and 12/CS scaffolds showed high ALP activity, respectively.
