In line with the digital transformation trend in medical training, students may resort to artificial intelligence (AI) for learning. This study assessed the interaction between obstetrics residents and ChatGPT during clinically oriented summative evaluations related to acute hepatic steatosis of pregnancy, and their self-reported competencies in information technology (IT) and AI. The participants in this semi-qualitative observational study were 14 obstetrics residents from two university hospitals. Students' queries were categorized into three distinct types: third-party enquiries; search-engine-style queries; and GPT-centric prompts. Responses were compared against a standardized answer produced by ChatGPT with a Delphi-developed expert prompt. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to explore the relationship between AI/IT skills and response accuracy. The study participants showed moderate IT proficiency but low AI proficiency. Interaction with ChatGPT regarding clinical signs of acute hepatic steatosis gravidarum revealed a preference for third-party questioning, resulting in only 21% accurate responses due to misinterpretation of medical acronyms. No correlation was found between AI response accuracy and the residents' self-assessed IT or AI skills, with most expressing dissatisfaction with their AI training. This study underlines the discrepancy between perceived and actual AI proficiency, highlighted by clinically inaccurate yet plausible AI responses – a manifestation of the 'stochastic parrot' phenomenon. These findings advocate for the inclusion of structured AI literacy programmes in medical education, focusing on prompt engineering. These academic skills are essential to exploit AI's potential in obstetrics and gynaecology. Energy transition technologies aimed at increasing energy efficiency are a tool for achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement to limit the increase in average annual temperature. To increase the efficiency of implementation of these technologies, it is necessary to forecast innovative activity in the areas of hydrogen energy, CCUS and information technology based on taking into account key influencing factors, the contribution of sectors of the classical fuel and energy complex and the level of mutual influence of countries. Based on the analysis, a forecast was made to increase the share of the sector of international vertically integrated oil companies (VIOCs) in the total number of patents in the field of hydrogen energy by 2.5% points. and an increase in the share of the national vertically integrated oil company sector in the area of CCUS technologies by 10% points. by 2027. It has been determined that the innovative activity of the electricity and coal industry sectors in energy transition technologies is most resistant to the influence of external geopolitical and infrastructural crises. The market for CCUS technologies is currently more susceptible to the effects of international cooperation than the market for hydrogen energy technologies. The authors show that a decrease in the level of international integration by 25% points. over the past 5 years has led to a decrease in innovative activity in energy transition technologies by 15% points. In order to identify international barriers to the introduction of technologies, the authors provide a comparative analysis of the level of mutual influence of countries within the framework of international economic associations using the examples of the SCO, BRICS, and MERCOSUR. The development of technology has led to the widespread use of digital technology in tax enforcement. Using the Chinese digital tax enforcement reform as a quasi-natural experiment, this study shows that digital tax enforcement reduces the risk of debt default by improving accounting information quality and reducing agency costs. Further analysis shows that this impact is more significant in enterprises with poorer external information environments, lower internal control quality, lower customer concentration, and lower digitalization levels. Breaking through local knowledge search limitations is essential for fostering interdisciplinary innovation. This paper investigates how High-speed Railway (HSR) facilitates these firms in integrating information technology (IT) knowledge from other cities into their innovation processes. By connecting cities through faster transportation, HSR diminishes the constraints of geographical proximity, enabling firms to bypass the traditional reliance on local knowledge clusters and access a broader pool of IT expertise. Utilizing a difference-in-differences (DID) approach, our results reveal that HSR enhances knowledge search scope by improving access to IT resources, increasing human capital mobility, and raising competitive awareness. Additionally, we identify heterogeneity in this effect based on factors such as the marketization level of a firm's location, the degree of digital infrastructure development, whether a firm is located in a provincial capital, and the specific industry sector. Our findings further demonstrate that the expansion of knowledge search scope due to HSR significantly boosts future firm performance. With the evolution of big data and information technology, sentiment analysis has become a research hotspot in the financial market. Researchers are increasingly focused on improving the efficiency of sentiment analysis using different machine learning and deep learning architectures. Feature extraction is a fundamental process in sentiment analysis that enhances text representation and classification. Though various feature extraction techniques are present in the field, limited attention has been given to hybrid feature extraction techniques. The primary objective of this study is to improve the sentiment analysis of financial news headlines using a hybrid Word2Vec-TFIDF feature extraction technique. The study evaluates the performance of Word2Vec, Doc2Vec, TFIDF, Word2Vec-TFIDF, and Doc2Vec-TFIDF with six machine learning classifiers. The results find that the hybrid feature extraction technique, Word2vec-TFIDF with SVM classifier, outperforms all other sentiment analysis models with an accuracy of 82 percent. No study has systematically investigated the public's perceptions of cyber risks and their relationship with the acceptance of fully Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). To address this knowledge gap, we developed a conceptual model and investigated the impact of the cyber-emulated risks (cyberattack, safety risk, connectivity risk, privacy risk, and performance risk) that may influence the adoption of CAVs. We tested the proposed model using structural equation modelling with a nationally representative sample of 2062 adults from the US, UK, New Zealand, and Australia. The results indicate that perceived cyberattacks had a significant but marginally neutral effect on usage intent, illustrating the acceptance of technical risk with CAVs. This finding challenges the commonly held belief that cyberattacks negatively influence the adoption of products and technology in other product development fields, such as information technology. CAV cyberattacks elevate concerns about safety, connectivity, privacy, and performance risks. Interestingly, connectivity risk had no significant impact on CAV's behaviour intention, but mediation analysis showed it indirectly affects CAV's acceptance through privacy and performance risks. Regarding socio-demographic and technological attributes, participants of older age, middle income, low-middle education, high cybersecurity knowledge and AV understanding exhibit high anxiety about CAV cyberattacks. The results hold significant policy implications, suggesting the need for tailored strategies in enhancing the cybersecurity of CAVs to ensure their successful adoption and deployment. In this essay a method of sentence similarity calculation of questions and answers based on Latent Semantic analysis (LSA) is proposed, which uses spatial vector model as representation method and latent semantic analysis theory. A low-dimensional semantic space is constructed by using the dimension reduction method of singular value decomposition, and the sentence similarity between question and answer is computed on the semantic space. Experimental results show that most retrievals can be completed within 20 seconds, and the average unit retrieval time is kept at the millisecond level. Therefore, the safety, efficiency, and real-time location of goods delivery need to be taken into account. Traditional supply chain logistics has problems such as requiring a large amount of manpower, inaccurate system positioning, inaccurate designed delivery routes, low efficiency, and inability to understand the status of drivers and vehicles. GIS (Geographic Information System) can assist systems in designing delivery routes, obtaining real-time locations of drivers or goods, and navigating. Therefore, in order to save manpower and ensure the safety and efficiency of goods delivery, this article used genetic algorithms to optimize and design a supply chain logistics intelligent management information system for GIS. This system had three modules, namely the client, driver, and terminal. The client mainly had functions such as publishing orders, checking the estimated arrival time of goods, and learning the real-time location of goods. The driver end mainly had functions such as real-time positioning, navigation, communication, viewing delivered orders, and monitoring cameras. The terminal mainly had functions such as viewing driver monitoring cameras and managing background information. With the rapid development of information technology, the traditional information management system faces the challenge of efficiency and accuracy when dealing with complex data and decision-making problems. In order to solve these problems, this paper integrates the random leapfrog band selection algorithm into the information management system. This algorithm shows excellent performance in dealing with large-scale, nonlinear and multi-variable optimization problems, resource allocation, scheduling optimization and data mining. This paper mainly explains the design framework of information management system, the optimization of information management by random leap-band selection algorithm and the design of information management system. The research objective is to create a mechanism that generates a valid 'sustainability' metric to enable prospective buyers to confidently identify low carbon footprint computers. The necessity is based upon the hypothesis that current product carbon footprint reports for computers are incomparable between brands. While the inconsistency of use-phase emissions has been addressed in prior associated research, supply chain emissions remain an issue. This is due to multiple scope 3 life cycle assessment methodologies being used by manufacturers that produce differing results even when applied to the same device. To test the theory and generate an alternative approach, the research analyses 244 notebook carbon footprint reports to show inconsistencies caused by five different methodologies. Based on the findings, an alternative approach to comparing supply chain impact is proposed that enables comparison between results. The new metric first generates an average scope 3 carbon footprint baseline value by device type (e.g. notebook). This is then reduced by specific values depending upon actions undertaken by manufacturers when calculating their original carbon footprint report. This includes deductions to the baseline value achieved by including high percentages of production and transport primary data, plus the availability and affordability of offerings that will extend device useful life spans to drive demand displacement. This includes warranty duration and cost plus ease of repair. The research finds that current methodologies create a range of inconsistency of +106% when used to calculate the carbon footprint of the same device and +142% when calculating similar device types. Therefore, the hypothesis of scope 3 emissions being incomparable is validated. Comparatively, the newly proposed mechanism shows a reduced range of inconsistency of 18% when demonstrated. As such, it is recommended that the new approach be applied to the latest version of the world's leading computer eco-label certification, TCO Certified version 10, in 2024. Accurately measuring real economic output in the space economy is made difficult by the rapid increase in capabilities and decrease in prices of launch and satellite technologies achieved over the past two decades. Nominal measures of output in space will tend to underestimate real growth if customers are paying lower prices for better services over time. In this paper, we use price indexes that apply techniques to the space economy that have been used for decades to adjust nominal measures of output in sectors such as information technology, including matched-model and explicit hedonic quality adjustment. We find that adjusting for price and quality changes in the space economy has substantial effects on estimated growth in economic output, especially across its sectors. Price increases over time in the space information sector, which is dominated by direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television, mean that real growth has been slower than nominal growth since at least 2012, the typical pattern in industries not undergoing rapid technological change. In sharp contrast, rapid price decreases and quality increases in other areas—especially launch and manufacturing of satellite, earth observation, and positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) equipment—have meant that nominal growth rates substantially understate real growth rates in those industries. Currently, there is no comprehensive picture of the global surveillance landscape. This survey examines the current state of surveillance systems, levels of integration, barriers and opportunities for the integration of surveillance systems at the country level, and the role of national public health institutes (NPHIs). This was a cross-sectional survey of NPHIs. A web-based survey questionnaire was disseminated to 110 NPHIs in 95 countries between July and August 2022. Data were descriptively analysed, stratified by World Health Organization region, World Bank Income Group, and self-reported Integrated Disease Surveillance (IDS) maturity status. Sixty-five NPHIs responded. Systems exist to monitor notifiable diseases and vaccination coverage, but less so for private, pharmaceutical, and food safety sectors. While Ministries of Health usually lead surveillance, in many countries, NPHIs are also involved. Most countries report having partially developed IDS. Surveillance data are frequently inaccessible to the lead public health agency and seldomly integrated into a national public health surveillance system. Common challenges to establishing IDS include information technology system issues, financial constraints, data sharing and ownership limitations, workforce capacity gaps, and data availability. Public health surveillance systems across the globe, although built on similar principles, are at different levels of maturity but face similar developmental challenges. Leadership, ownership and governance, supporting legal mandates and regulations, as well as adherence to mandates, and enforcement of regulations are critical components of effective surveillance. In 2014, we developed a QI-directed Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) Conference, prioritizing discussion of individual and system failures, as well as development of action items to prevent failure recurrence. However, due to a reliance on individual electronic documents to store M&M data, our ability to assess trends in failures and action item implementation was hindered. To address this issue, in 2019, we created a secure electronic health record (EHR)-integrated web application (web app) to store M&M data. In this study, we assessed the impact of our web app on efficient review and tracking of M&M data, including system failure occurrence and closure of action items. Additionally, in 2021, it was discovered that a backlog of action items existed. To address this issue, we implemented a QI initiative to reduce the backlog, and used the web app to compare action item closure over time. Use of the web app dramatically improved review of M&M data. During the study period, there was a 67.0% reduction in the occurrence of the most common system failures. Additionally, our QI initiative resulted in a 97.7% reduction in the duration of time to complete a single action item and a 61.1% increase in the on-time closure rate for action items. Integration of a web app into a QI-directed M&M Conference enhanced our ability to track system level failures and action item closure over time. The work is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the influence of the ESG rating components on the financial performance of companies from different sectors of the economy. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the impact of the ESG rating components on the financial performance of companies in various sectors of the economy and identify the most significant ESG practices. The practical significance of the final qualification work consists in the possibility of direct use of the results of work in the activities of enterprises and organizations from various industries. To conduct an empirical analysis, a sample of companies from eight sectors of the economy (energy, information technology, healthcare, communications services, industry, basic necessities, secondary necessities, materials) was used, including 160 companies from European countries belonging to the Schengen area. The data set covers the period from 2015 to 2022. Financial indicators are taken as dependent variables: ROA and Market Value. The values of the components E, S and G are used as independent variables. It is expected that the aggregate ESG indicator will positively correlate with financial indicators in all sectors. As for the individual elements E, S and G, it is assumed that their impact on financial success will vary depending on the industry. The study showed that the relationship between the individual components of the ESG rating and Market Value is mostly positive. To enhance economic cooperation in the Bohai Sea and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, China introduced the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration plan in 2014. Over the past decade, coordinated development has established a solid foundation, emphasizing economic and spatial structure optimization. The region's development has now achieved comprehensive, qualitative, and profound progress. Recognizing economic integration as crucial, this study analyzes the 2020-2023 stock data of listed firms in the region, utilizing the DY spillover index to examine sectoral volatility spillover effects, both statically and dynamically. Results reveal bidirectional, asymmetric spillovers, with heterogeneous spillover levels. Industry, raw materials, and information technology are key spillover sectors, significantly influencing others and inducing synchronization. Property and finance sectors are primarily recipients, influenced by others. Energy and communication services exhibit strong bidirectional spillovers. Volatility spillover strength is influenced by factors such as inter-sector correlation, market risk, macroeconomic changes. In this review, we first clarify the mechanisms of "ion-confined transport" strategies including pore confinement, interfacial confinement and field-effect confinement, and then comprehensively summarize the development of supercapacitor-diodes and switchable supercapacitors. Subsequently, building upon the physical principles of ion-confined transport in supercapacitors, the inevitable emergence of two new types of ion-type devices, supercapacitor-memristors and supercapacitor-chips, are predicted. Occupation of the foraging niche requires an extensive body of ecological knowledge, and humans rely heavily on social learning to master this curriculum in a safe, efficient, timely manner. This presents a formidable information management problem: In the absence of writing, how did ancestral hunter-gatherer societies accurately store and transmit their accumulated knowledge from generation to generation? Pronounced patterns in forager oral story corpora suggest a partial answer. Cross-culturally, these stories exhibit similar themes, genres, and characters, which in turn map onto critical domains of ecological knowledge. These stories also exhibit pronounced consistencies in their formal properties, predictably utilizing strategies that engage attention (e.g., ostensive communication) and facilitate memorization (e.g., repetition, rhythm, imagery). These patterns suggest that storytelling is an information technology that addresses key problems posed by our entry into the information niche: in conjunction with other forms of symbolic behavior (e.g., ritual, visual art, song, dance, games) storytelling provides a mnemonic framework for encoding accumulated knowledge, rules for faithfully copying it, and regular occasions for refreshing and transmitting it. The performance of public sector institutions has been a major concern across the globe. Performance improvement has been a matter of persistent pursuit across a variety of countries, particularly in developing countries contexts. It is generally believed that the private sector usually outperforms the public sector counterpart. It can be argued that if the public sector institutions can increase their performance like the private sector counterpart, the level of social development and economic growth, particularly in developing countries, could be exponential since the public sector is the foundation upon which the private sector drives development. However, a variety of factors prevent public sector institutions from competing with their private sector counterparts. The cultures and sentiments are different in the two sectors. For example, private organisations are profit-driven and they operate in highly competitive and performance-based environments. Therefore, performance is key to their success. Meanwhile, public institutions are social and public service-driven in nature. They are owned by the government and are politically motivated. Public institutions that want to transform and achieve accelerated performance and impact will fundamentally jettison some public service culture and embrace new, dynamic, forward-looking approaches and best practices. Research findings and empirical evidence have shown that information systems are great enablers of an organisation's increased performance and total transformation. However, the people's roles in shaping how information systems work, deliver value and transform organisations, especially, public institutions, is fundamental. Without people's understanding, buy-in, capability and optimal adoption and use of information systems, an organisation's performance and transformation will remain elusive. Public institutions need to take actions that both boost performance and inspire their people. This research paper practically demonstrates how enterprise performance, transformation and information systems are related using the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as a case. The research validates how public sector enterprise performance and its four indicators (efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and responsiveness) drive enterprise transformation and its four major enablers (leadership, strategy, management and innovation practices) and how the transformation enablers are shaping and optimising adoption and use of enterprise information systems. This research investigates the impact of digitalization on contribution to Gross Domestic Product, in the context of the Hungarian National Infocommunication Strategy adopting the European Union's Digital Agenda. 1045 small and medium enterprises were included in the research, using data from years of 2010 and 2018. The level of digitalization was measured by the Digital Economy and Society Index, using both information technology infrastructure-related information, as well as the use of enterprise software applications, particularly Enterprise Resource Planning or Customer Relationship Management systems. The contribution to Gross Domestic Product was measured by headcount, pay costs and turnover as proxies using the financial data submissions of the companies. The results of the partial least squares structural equation modelling suggest that while the firm's current financial position is being the most important factor for its future contribution to Gross Domestic Product, digitalization, especially the adoption of enterprise software systems is also a significant factor to the firm's contribution. Therefore, it is worth pursuing digitalisation for driving economic development. This study examines the challenge of overcrowding within Emergency Department (ED) processes and elucidates the potential for AI-based interventions to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. We used qualitative interviews conducted in two German hospitals to identify five challenges along the ED care pathway: limited demand predictability, task overload, information unavailability, lack of IT systems interoperability, and low process standardization. We propose AI-based solutions to target these issues. For example, demand forecasting models could optimize resource allocation during patient arrival, while AI-guided queries and Decision Support Systems could improve data quality and standardization in registration & triage and diagnosis & treatment, respectively. Additionally, AI-driven text recognition and monitoring could streamline information management and patient observation. While the study is constrained by its geographic and methodological scope, it is foundational work for future research, including Design Science Research approaches to validate and implement the proposed AI-based process aids in the ED. The phenomenon of showrooming has given brick-and-mortar stores even greater challenges throughout the past decade of the growth in smartphone information technology. This study explores how smartphone technologies can be used to reduce showrooming. A conjoint experiment (n= 163) was conducted to examine factors like price, salesperson interference, and information search, and offers real-time data provided by in-store Internet of Things (IoT) technologies via a smartphone. Findings show that personalized offers with a scarcity message was the most impactful factor in the likelihood to buy, discouraging showrooming. This study reveals the relative impact of different attributes that can be provided on a shopper-facing smartphone application that provides real-time data using IoT technologies. Access to real-time information is important for showroomers to help encourage them to buy the product in-store rather than online. Information technology infrastructure (ITI) has gone through an exponential change due to the rapid evolution of digital technologies during the past few years. It is therefore relevant to identify the factors that push organizations towards the adoption of new technologies. This paper considers a specific case study of the higher education institutions (HEI) to present (i) the motivational factors that push HEIs toward the adoption of new technologies, and (ii) the key challenges HEIs face in the adoption of these technologies. The data was gathered after conducting 17 open-ended interviews with practitioners working at HEIs in Finland and Pakistan. Data analysis identified 10 motivational factors and 41 challenges faced by HEI in the adoption of the latest technologies. Lean Thinking (LT) is a philosophy that prioritizes customer value optimization and waste minimization. Culture plays a vital role in the acceptance and effective utilization of information technologies. As a value-laden artefact, information technology (IT), such an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, is likely to introduce a counterculture in conflict with the implementing organization. Yet, how cultural alignment between IT and the implementing organization develops over time in a multicultural context is unknown. This research presents a dynamic process of cultural alignment, outlining the steps and events that lead to the alignment of cultural issues between an ERP system and the adopting organization at national, sectoral, organizational and group levels. Drawing on a longitudinal case study of a logistics service provider's ERP system deployment across France, Italy, Morocco and Tunisia, this study shows that cultural alignment involves four key steps – requirement analysis, ERP selection, cultural misfit resolution and user testing – that are strongly influenced by technical, operational and organizational constraints. This paper presents a case study of IT Service Management (ITSM) adoption in the highly regulated pharmaceutical sector. The outcomes in the case company included (1) the integration of regulatory requirements into ITSM workflows, (2) refining IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) modules, and (3) establishing a comprehensive Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The project was conducted for nearly a year and started with a maturity assessment to identify areas requiring improvement. ITSM case studies in the pharmaceutical industry are scarce, and new guidelines are necessary to assist IT departments in their mission. For practitioners, this paper describes critical steps on how to assess and improve service management using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach. For academics, our work identifies sector-specific compliance requirements for ITSM and a solution to address them with ITSM tools. Our approach can be crucial to IT departments operating in economic sectors with an impact on human safety. Scholarly interest in Green IT has been rapidly growing over the past 15 years in a wide variety of disciplines including computer science, information systems, sustainability, production management and engineering. This is not surprising given the growing environmental impacts of information and communication technologies. This article presents a bibliometric analysis of academic literature across 1862 sources to improve our understanding of the evolution and current state of this multidisciplinary field. The corpus includes 4067 published journal and conference papers identified using the Scopus database. A descriptive performance analysis of the corpus using Bibliometrix software first allows us to identify the most influential works, authors, sources, institutions, and countries in the field. Examination of its conceptual structure reveals that most work has focused on the design and use phases of ICTs and neglected the manufacturing and end-of-life phases. Since FY2015, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) have jointly been selecting the excellent Japanese firms for their efforts for IT utilization as "Competitive IT Strategy Companies." This paper investigates and examines stock market reaction to the announcement of the selected Competitive IT Strategy Companies. We use an event study methodology with a market model on a sample selected in FY2018. Our empirical analysis shows a few reactions in stock returns around the event day. The cumulative average abnormal return (CAAR) during the event period [-5,0] is significantly positive at the 10% level. This result indicates that the stock market reaction may have started prior to the 2018's announcement date. The findings suggest that this study demonstrates the effectiveness of public policy program by METI and TSE, and assists investors in making wise decisions before reacting to the announcement of this annual program. The popularity of digital devices seems to provide a new observational variable for early identification and prevention of suicide with the development of the information technology era. Nevertheless, whether it is the use of digital devices that alters suicide risk or suicide risk manifests itself through change digital device use needs to be further explored. Bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was used to explore potential causal relationships in the perspective of genetic prediction. We collected publicly available digital device use and suicide risk summary statistics genome-wide association data from UK Biobank, Neale Lab and FinnGen genetic databases. We used inverse variance weighting methods to assess MR estimates. For robustness of the results, we performed further tests of heterogeneity and pleiotropy. In the Phase 1 results, we did not observe any effect of the length of digital device use on the suicide risk, while the results of Phase 2 suggested a significant positive association between suicide risk and the length of mobile phone use (IVW OR, 1.04; 95%CI, 1.01–1.06; P = 0.002), but this significance disappeared after adjusting for confounders of mental and affective disorders. The life cycles of information technology (IT) components are notably distinct in both duration and nature when compared to their physical counterparts, commonly referred to as operational technology (OT). However, OT is increasingly getting converged with IT technologies. To ensure effective oversight of these converged IT/OT assets throughout their life spans, it is imperative to align the various stakeholders. Critical areas for achieving this alignment in the context of IT/OT converged assets encompass cybersecurity and the management of maintenance processes. This paper presents a design for a "Maintenance Management Game". The purpose of this game is to educate maintenance professionals managing IT/OT converged assets. As part of the game mechanics, the players must make decisions trading off the different objectives and needs of a fictional railway company. The game mechanics are developed using design science research and employ the iterative process of participatory prototyping.
