KIERSOL, one of the CO 2 capture processes, was applied to capture CO 2 of the kiln gas emitting 25% CO 2 in the cement industry. The heat duty of reboiler was supplied by heat recovery of rotary kiln, and we could reduce the operation cost, 0 GJ/tCO 2 . An economical process draft from CO 2 capture to conversion using characteristics of a cement industry was made and a highly concentrated CO 2 from a stripper was used to manufacture a precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) from CaO after calcination process. The CO 2 avoided cost using KIERSOL could be cut down from $25/t CO 2 to $19/tCO 2 by the heat recovery from a kiln in case of operation during 30 years. We could acquire a concentrated PCC (99.3%) by using a concentrated CO 2 and CaO. Additionally, we suggested a liquefied CO 2 or a PCC transport by a railroad instead of using pipeline and CCU operation for a cement industry was considered and economical potential, benefit to cost analysis was discussed.
