There is a growing interest in the development of active, durable, and cost-effective electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reactions (OER). In this study, we synthesized a self-reconstruction iron-doped sulfide-regulated nickel molybdate catalyst using wet chemical sulfuration and electrodeposition techniques. The core-shell nanorods (SC@NMO) were produced through rapid sulfuration. We investigated the effects of sulfur leaching on rapid and extensive electrochemical self-reconstruction. Our approach utilized the phase change of Fe3+ and electrodeposition-induced restructuring to enhance the catalyst's OER activity and stability in an alkaline electrolyte. Notably, iron ions establish a precipitation-dissolution dynamic equilibrium at the interface between the catalyst surface and the electrolyte, which minimizes iron loss and results in a more efficient and stable catalyst. The prepared sample, SC-Fe(Ni)OOH@NMO, demonstrated exceptional oxygen evolution performance and long-term stability in a 1 M KOH solution, achieving an overpotential of only 279 mV at a current density of 100 mA cm−2. It maintained stable operation for 200 h in a high-concentration 6 M KOH solution. The above data prove that this work provides a feasible strategy to enhance the OER catalytic capacity of metal oxides by the two modification methods of co-doping of metal and non-metal and reconstruction. • Postkidney transplant patients are highly susceptible to increased tacrolimus concentrations when taking paxlovid. • This short-term increase in tacrolimus concentrations did not affect kidney function. • It is crucial to undertake genotypic testing before therapy initiation to streamline the management of dosing regimens. • Meticulous monitoring and individualized tacrolimus management are necessary. Kidney transplant recipients, reliant on lifelong immunosuppressive therapy, face potential drug interactions with emerging treatments such as paxlovid. This study aims to provide guidance for safe administration by examining the impact of paxlovid on tacrolimus levels in kidney transplant recipients. Seven kidney transplant patients who received paxlovid between December 2022 and August 2023 were included for retrospective analysis. Tacrolimus concentration changes were investigated both during and after the administration of paxlovid. Genetic testing for CYP3A5 polymorphisms assessed individual responses. The patient's treatment process was divided into four phases according to the paxlovid administration and the Tacrolimus trough level. The variation of tacrolimus valley concentration, concentration-to-dose ratios (C/D), and creatinine values in different periods were subsequently described and analyzed. The results indicate that tacrolimus levels increased significantly after receiving paxlovid, peaking on day two with a median trough level of 21.8 ng/mL. Prior to the administration of paxlovid, the median C/D value was 6.8 times higher (903.1 to 132.5). Once the paxlovid was stopped, the C/D value and trough level progressively returned to their preadministration levels. Importantly, no graft rejections, adverse events, or neurotoxicity were noted. The levels of creatinine remained stable. During paxlovid treatment, patients adhered to a modified tacrolimus regimen and progressively resumed baseline dosage. In summary, this is the first study to indicate a significant influence of paxlovid on tacrolimus levels in Chinese patients undergoing kidney transplantation. The utilization of Pt nanoparticles as catalysts in hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is a widely adopted strategy for hydrogen production. Nonetheless, the reduction of Pt usage costs and enhancement of its durability are crucial factors that need to be addressed in order to facilitate the commercialization of these catalysts. In this study, Pt–Co(OH) 2 @CoMoO 4 /NF has been developed and synthesized on nickel foam (NF) through the implementation of hydrothermal and electrodeposition techniques. Cobalt molybdate is subjected to surface reconstruction of the precatalyst by anion etching under electrodeposition conditions to form hydroxides nanosheets, and the ultra-low content of Pt nanoparticles (0.25 wt%) was uniformly dispersed on the CoMoO 4 nanoarrays and Co(OH) 2 nanosheets subsequently. Detailed experimental characterization showed that low Pt loading promoted charge transfer, accelerated the Heyrovsky step of HER, and surface reconstruction increased oxygen vacancies. Pt–Co(OH) 2 @CoMoO 4 /NF exhibited an overpotential of 100 mV at current densities of 100 mA cm−2, while lasting this current density for a duration of 100 h. At higher current densities, the electrocatalytic activity of Pt–Co(OH) 2 @CoMoO 4 /NF surpassed that of the commercially accessible 20 wt% Pt/C. Our work offers a viable approach towards designing efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen production base on platinum. In order to realize large-scale application of alkaline water electrolysis for hydrogen production, it is crucial to develop catalysts with cost-effective and balanced catalytic effects. Schottky heterojunction is considered as a potential material to realize efficient photoelectrocatalytic alkaline water electrolysis for hydrogen production, but its performance is limited by the built-in electric field (BIEF). Therefore, in this paper, we enhance the BIEF by doping trace amounts of Mn into Fe Urea/NF and optimize the energy band positions to reduce the forbidden bandwidths to obtain excellent photoelectrocatalytic performance. During oxygen evolution reaction (OER) only 270 mV overpotential was required to reach 100 mA cm−2 under light. Negligible overpotential changes were observed in the long-term stability test of close to 100 h under different conditions. The excellent performance of the catalysts was mainly attributed to the enhancement of BIEF, which implies that the incorporation of trace Mn accelerated the electron transport in the d-p-π triple-orbital conjugated system and optimized the density of the electronic states in the active center, thus improving the oxidation state of the active iron. In addition, the incorporation of trace Mn effectively improves the positions of the valence and conduction bands, which in turn reduces the forbidden band width and improves the light absorption capacity. Conopomorpha sinensis Bradley is the most detrimental pest to litchi and longan in China. Adult eclosion, locomotion, mating and oviposition of C. sinensis usually occur at night, regulated by a circadian rhythm. Nevertheless, our understanding of the linkages between adult circadian rhythms and clock genes remains inadequate. To address this gap, transcriptomic analysis was conducted on female and male heads (including antennae) of C. sinensis using the Illumina HiSeq 6000 platform to identify major circadian clock-related genes. The annotated sequences were analyzed by BLASTx, and candidate clock genes were classified based on conservation, predicted domain architectures, and phylogenetic analysis. The analysis revealed a higher conservation of these genes among the compared moths. Further, the expression profile analysis showed a significant spatiotemporal and circadian rhythmic accumulation of some clock genes during development. The candidate clock genes were predominantly expressed in the head, highlighting their crucial function in circadian rhythm regulation. Moreover, CsinPer , CsinTim 1, and CsinCry 1 displayed similar dynamic expressions with a peak expression level in the 4th age adults, suggesting their involvement in regulation of courtship and mating behaviors. The CsinPer and CsinTim 1 mRNA oscillated strongly with a similar phase, containing a peak expression just before the female mating peak. This work will greatly contribute to understanding the circadian clock system of C. sinensis and provide valuable information for further studies of the molecular mechanisms involved in rhythmicity in fruit-boring pests. Candida albicans has the ability to switch reversibly between budding yeast, filamentous, pseudohypha, and hyphal forms, a process in which the transcription factor Flo8 plays an important role. This ability is important for the virulence and pathogenicity of C. albicans. To determine whether Flo8 plays a role in the regulation of drug sensitivity, we constructed a FLO8 null mutant flo8/flo8 from the parental strain SN152 and a Flo8-overexpressing strain, flo8/flo8 :: FLO8. The susceptibility of the isolates to antifungal agents was then evaluated using the agar dilution and broth microdilution methods. Expression of drug resistance-related genes by the isolates was investigated by real-time PCR. The flo8/flo8 mutation isolates exhibited increased resistance to fluconazole, voriconazole, and itraconazole compared with the wild-type and drug sensitivity was restored by FLO8 overexpression (flo8/flo8∷FLO8). Of seven drug resistance-related genes, the FLO8 null mutation resulted in increased CDR1 and CDR2 expression (1.60-fold and 5.27-fold, respectively) compared with SN152, while FLO8 overexpression resulted in decreased CDR1 expression (0.63-fold). These results suggest that Flo8 is involved in the susceptibility of C. albicans to antifungal azoles, with FLO8 deletion leading to constitutive overexpression of CDR1 and CDR2 and resistance to antifungal azoles.
