In recent years, we can observe the growth in the number of investors in the financial market. This work seeks to improve the decision-making process in real estate investment funds (Brazilian REITs). To this end, a literature review was carried out in the Scopus database using bibliometrix to analyze the applications of the multicriteria decision aid (MCDA) in the environment of Brazilian REITs, as a result, it was possible to analyze a greater approach to studies on the toma in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and China. The study was promising because it opens new possibilities of approach and opportunities to cover applications, seeking to explore and use MCDA methods to provide support at all stages of the decision-making process. The literature review was used as a basis for structuring the problem and defining the application of the hybrid PSI-CoCoSo method for ordering Brazilian REITs in the corporate slabs sector traded on the São Paulo stock exchange (B3), the criterion was to address funds that have at least one million reais in daily trading on the stock exchange. As a result, the hybrid method proved to be effective in the ranking process, providing robust results on the application and evaluation of Brazilian REITs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The rapid globalization of the world economy has required companies to become increasingly competitive. One of the factors that contribute to reducing operational costs and, consequently, helps to improve company performance is inventory management and is mainly based on demand forecasting. This represents a key factor in the management of different areas of organizations, being fundamental in managing the logistics chain, especially in inventory management, customer service levels and purchasing planning. This research project aims to test the applicability of the ARIMA, exponential smoothing and Holt-winters models for forecasting demand for spare items in a company in the steel sector. The data used in this work were extracted from the SAP material management module software. The total base available was 327.924 registered items and 42.548 were analyzed as they had a consumption history from Jan/2012 to Dec/2022. A process of classifying the consumption history was carried out as Regular, erratic, intermittent and irregular. To run the prediction models, the RStudio software was used. To measure the performance of the prediction models, the MAE metric was used. The genus Serpinema Yeh, 1960 allocates parasitic nematodes of freshwater turtles distributed across the Oriental, Neotropical, and Palearctic regions. Five of 10 valid species of the genus Serpinema occur in the Neotropical region, and three have been recorded parasitizing Kinosternon scorpioides Linnaeus, 1766. In the present work, we describe a new species of Serpinema , a gastrointestinal parasite of K. scorpioides from the Brazilian Amazon, using light and scanning electron microscopy. Serpinema pelliculatus n. sp. differs from other species of the genus by the number and distribution of caudal papillae and spicule morphology. The new species is the seventh recorded for the Neotropical region. To compare the acute effects of rhythmic stabilization (RS) and stabilizer reversal (SR) techniques of PNF on the balance of sedentary elderly women. Women aged (≥70) were allocated into three groups: RS, SR and control (CR). The experimental groups (RS and SR) performed balance exercises with the addition of rhythmic stabilization techniques (RS group) or with stabilizers reversal (SR group) for 15 min. The CR group performed the exercises without adding the PNF stabilization techniques. Participants performed the Time Up and Go (TUG) test, the Functional Reach Test (FRT) and static and dynamic stabilometry pre and post intervention. Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests were used for comparison between groups and post hoc analysis, respectively, with p ≤ 0.05. For the effect size measurements, the r for Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney signal were used. For functional tests intra-group analysis, a reduction in TUG time and an increase in FRT range (p ≤ 0.05) were observed in RS e SR groups. Stabilometry analysis showed a significant difference only for the RS group, with reduced average velocity of the centre of pressure (COP), and an increased in the left foot pressure. A single RS or SR session reduced the TUG time and the range distance in the FRT in elderly women. A single session of the RS technique was also able to reduce the mean velocity of the COP and the maximum pressure on the left foot. • A strategy for micromorphic description without the need to define the high number of material parameters of this theory. • Possibility of adopting damage constitutive models established in classical theory in the context of micromorphic theory. • Ability to simulate strain localization not well reproduced by classical theory and adopting wellknown material parameters. • The strategy is promising in the study of the influence of microscopic heterogeneities on the macroscopic response. The formulation of the micromorphic continuum theory and its finite element approach are well-established, however, the physical interpretation and determination of the large number of constitutive parameters of this theory limit its practical application. In this sense, this paper presents a multiscale numerical strategy to obtain a macroscopic micromorphic description of the continuum from a proposed solution to the boundary value problems at the microscale governed by the classical continuum theory. Consequently, the micromorphic analysis is performed adopting well-known material parameters. To obtain the macroscopic micromorphic material response based on classical constitutive parameters, an approach which employs a cubic displacement ansatz is derived from a micromorphic homogenization framework proposed in the literature. To illustrate the capacity of the strategy to reproduce a micromorphic description adopting classical material parameters, the approach is implemented in an finite element code to demonstrate that the method overcomes the spurious mesh dependency of classical models of quasi-brittle damage due to regularization effects in localization problems achieved with generalized continuum models. A systematic study of the distribution of the Naturally Occurring Radioactivity in stone dust and crushed stone, has been carried out with an objective of establishing reliable baseline data on the radiation level and hence to evaluate hazard indices approach and the production of radioactive heat (RHP) due to radiation exposure to the workers and to the inhabitants of the studied area. Twenty-six samples have been collected from different locations in the State of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). To calculate the specific activity, gamma ray spectrometry and a detector of High Purity Germanium (HPGe; Canberra, 30% relative efficiency) was used. The activity concentration of 238U, 226Ra 232Th and 40K ranged from 29.3 ± 18.6 to 206.8 ± 21.5 Bq kg−1, 30.3 ± 1.0 to 134.3 ± 1.8, 27.9 ± 0.7 to 86.2 ± 0.9 Bq kg−1, and 734.9 ± 35.1 to 1204.8 ± 53.5 Bq kg−1, respectively. The mean values of the I ex , I in , I γ , I α , A UI , I RP112Rn , I PA , I PI and I Yu indices were 0.68 ± 0.09, 0.92 ± 0.12, 0.93 ± 0.12, 0.43 ± 0.07, 0.88 ± 0.20, 1.25 ± 0.21, 0.34 ± 0.05, 0.75 ± 0.10, 0.63 ± 0.08 and 34. ± 6.31, respectively. The average radioactive heat production (RHP) of 2.01 ± 0.28 μ Wm−3 was above the values found in the literature, which may contribute to the heat flow in the study area because the raw materials that make up the samples showed a high value of environmental radioactivity. An investigation of turbulent boundary layers (TBLs) is presented for a NACA0012 airfoil at angles of attack 9 and 12 deg. Wall-resolved large eddy simulations (LES) are conducted for a freestream Mach number M = 0. 2 and chord-based Reynolds number R e = 4 × 1 0 5 , where the boundary layers are tripped near the airfoil leading edge on the suction side. For the angles of attack analyzed, mild, moderate and strong adverse pressure gradients (APGs) develop over the airfoil. Despite the strong APGs, the mean flow remains attached along the entire airfoil suction side. Similarly to other APG-TBLs investigated in the literature, a secondary peak appears in the Reynolds stress and turbulence production profiles. This secondary peak arises in the outer layer and, for strong APGs, it may overcome the first peak typically observed in the inner layer. The analysis of the turbulence production shows that other components of the production tensor become important in the outer layer besides the shear term. For moderate and strong APGs, the mean velocity profiles depict three inflexion points, the third being unstable under inviscid stability criteria. In this context, an embedded shear layer develops along the outer region of the TBL leading to the formation of two-dimensional rollers typical of a Kelvin–Helmholtz instability which are captured by a spectral proper orthogonal decomposition (SPOD) analysis. The most energetic SPOD spatial modes of the tangential velocity show that streaks form along the airfoil suction side and, as the APG becomes stronger, they grow along the spanwise and wall-normal directions, having a spatial support along the entire boundary layer. • Mean velocity profiles with strong APGs depict three inflection points, the outer one being unstable under inviscid stability criteria. • The production of TKE is affected by additional terms besides the shear component, especially in the outer layer. • The turbulence anisotropy state changes from a TBL to a shear layer under the APG influence. • The most energetic SPOD mode of tangential velocity shows streaks which grow along the spanwise and wall-normal directions due to strong APGs. • In the outer region of the TBLs, Kelvin–Helmholtz structures are depicted by the most energetic SPOD mode of wall-normal velocity. We sought to compare the diagnostic accuracy of cephalic indices for type B basilar invagination (BI). This retrospective study examined head and neck magnetic resonance imaging sequences of 31 Group B BI cases and 96 controls. Two examiners blinded to diagnostic data evaluated the cephalic indices of each magnetic resonance imaging sequence, described as width/length (WLI) and height/width (HWI). The distance of the odontoid process apex to Chamberlain line and clivus canal angle were measured. The interexaminer and intraexaminer reproducibility of the cephalic indices was calculated using intraclass correlation coefficient. The diagnostic accuracy was discerned by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. All analyses were scrutinized with a 95% confidence interval. Cephalic indices showed interexaminer and intraexaminer reproducibility ≥94%. The areas under the ROC curve were 0.639 (WLI) and 0.874 (HWI) (95% confidence interval: P < 0.05). The HWI showed a sensitivity of 74.7% and a specificity of 85.5% for the cutoff criterion ≤58. The WLI presented a sensitivity of 53.3% and a specificity of 66.7% for the cutoff criterion ≥86. The HWI showed the largest area under the ROC curve in comparison with the WLI, with robust sensitivity and specificity values, indicating that the proportions between cranial height and width can help clinicians in investigating type B BI. Brazil is the fourth largest cement consumer in the world and the largest producer in Latin America, around 1.3% of global production. The main inputs in the manufacture of cement are limestone and clay. Few studies have been carried out in the country on the risk of these materials used in civil construction. Therefore, the objective of this present work is to evaluate the radiological danger that they can present to society. Gamma spectrometry analysis on 16 samples of different brands of cement used as construction material in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) was performed in this study, using an HPGe detector and the Genie 2000 data acquisition software. Samples were set to count for an accumulation time of 14,400 s (4 h) and all measurements were corrected to eliminate background and backscattering. Activity concentrations are determined for 226Ra was from (41.2 ± 1.6 to 174.9 ± 3.9) Bq kg−1, 232Th was from (15.7 ± 0.5 to 43.1 ± 0.7) Bq kg−1 and 40K was from (82.6 ± 7.2 to 254 ± 17) Bq kg−1. To assess radiological health risks: mean values of Radium Activity Equivalent 150.0 ± 3.4 Bq kg−1, Annual Gonadal Dose Equivalent 468 ± 11 μSv year−1 and Lifetime Excess Cancer Risk (ELCR) 2.42 ± 0.06 were calculated. Total Absorbed Dose Rates ranged from 72.2 ± 1.7 to 225.1 ± 5.2 nGy h−1. The damage to collective health was also estimated from the annual effective dose rates with an estimated total cost of damage to health of US$ 130 million. The presence of naturally occurring radioactivity in sand and other building materials results in indoor and outdoor exposure to the public. Sand is one of the main components in civil construction alongside cement, crushed stone and bricks. Thus, this research was carried out in twenty sand samples with the objective of investigating the hazard indices of natural radiation, due to the presence of 238U, 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in sand samples collected in some locations in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), analyzing by gamma spectrometry and using an HPGe detector. The technique used for gamma analysis was gamma spectrometry, and the software used to analyze peaks and obtain counts was LabSOCS. In this context, the average activity concentration values of 226Ra (66.7 ± 1.2) and 40K (647 ± 31) Bq kg−1 are higher than the world mean activity concentration of 50, 50 and 500 Bq kg−1 for these three radionuclides. However, the value of 232Th (40.6 ± 0.7) Bq kg−1 and Raeq (175 ± 5) Bq kg−1 are less than the world average of 50 Bq kg−1 and 370 Bq kg−1, respectively. The estimation of the average values for Annual Effective Dose (0.51 ± 0.01) and Dutch Radiation Performance Index (0.52 ± 0.01) was carried out, with values below the maximum recommended limit for the public. Only one sample had a higher value and the other samples are within the levels required for environmental control. However, the mean values found in this present study, when compared to those of other authors mentioned here, showed higher values. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency and capacity of the probiotic composed of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens , in improving the zootechnical performance of broiler chickens challenged with Eimeria spp. and Clostridium perfringens. The broilers were distributed in a completely randomized design in poultry isolators (12 birds each), resulting in 3 treatments: T1 (control, no challenge and no Bacillus in diet), T2 (challenged with Eimeria spp., followed by Clostridium perfringens infection and no Bacillus in the diet), and T3 (challenged with Eimeria spp., Clostridium perfringens and treated with Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens). They were evaluated for a period of 29 d, divided into preinitial (1–7 d of age), initial (8–21 d), and growth (22–29 d) phases. Assessments of body weight, weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion were conducted, along with the classification of the scores and optical microscopy of the tract gastrointestinal. The animals challenged and treated with the probiotic containing Bacillus spp. showed improved indicators of zootechnical performance. Additionally, the animals challenged and treated (T3) had a better score for intestinal lesions compared to the other treatment groups. Therefore, the probiotic consisting of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens could be considered an effective option for disease prevention and improving the zootechnical performance of broiler chickens [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
