Three new triterpenoid glycosides, 3 β -hydroxy-28-norolean-12-ene-16-one 3- O -β- d -glucopyranoside ( 1 ), 3 β ,17 β -dihydroxy-28-norolean-12-ene-16-one 3- O -β- d -glucopyranoside ( 2 ) and 3 β -hydroxy-olean-12-ene-16,28-lactone 3- O -β- d -glucopyranoside ( 3 ) together with eclalbasaponin II ( 4 ) were isolated from Acanthopanax senticosus (Rupr. & Maxim.) Harms. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and physico-chemical analyses. Inhibition of NF- κ B of these isolates was measured in HepG2 cells using a luciferase reporter system. Among the isolates, compounds 1 , 2 and 4 inhibited NF- κ B activation stimulated by TNF-α in a dose-dependent manner, with IC 50 values ranging from 8.3 ± 0.7 to 13.5 ± 1.0 μM. Two new neo-lignans, erythro -7 E -4′,9′-dihydroxy-4,5′-dimethoxy-5,8′-oxyneolign-7-en-9-al ( 1 ) and 4,5′-dimethoxy-lariciresinol ( 2 ) together with five known compounds ( 3 - 7 ) were isolated from the EtOAc-soluble extract of Eleutherococcus senticosus (Rupt. & Maxim.) Maxim, and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and physicochemical analyses. All the isolates were evaluated for in vitro inhibitory activity against DGAT1 and DGAT2. Two new lignans were isolated from Saururus chinensis , along with eight known compounds. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and physico-chemical analyses. All the isolates were evaluated for in vitro inhibitory activity against DGAT1 and DGAT2.
